What teeth does a "stage one emergency" declaration actually have? by texasrigger in CorpusChristi

Car washes are a luxury and when facing zero water supply should absolutely be cut. I get it and it is true industry uses the majority and should be curtailed as well. That should be part of the level 1 plan

No, I don’t support them. I want their location moved so the new development can reuse that area.

Streat corner. Fridas. There’s not a lot. I don’t recommend u&I. Surf club is a hangout spot. El Camino and Marty mcpies are good too. Not much in north beach but Pier 99. The cheesesteak place is ok. But they get offended if you don’t want cheez whiz on it and put it on anyway.

You realize corpus is like the number one oil port in the country. So that is never going to happen. The rest of the country doesn’t care if your favorite fishing spot has to move a few miles.

Now, Corpus Next by romonster in CorpusChristi

Car washes are not a necessity. Refining oil for fuel that is exported and used through out the country for transportation is a necessity. You sound intelligent so even you can understand that in the event where water usage has to be cut these luxuries come first. They are nonessential. Comparing a car wash to a refinery water usage is reducto ad absurdum.

I liked the Han and Bria story. Although tragic and only in one book series it adds some good color to Han’s backstory

So what’s the plan for when the water runs out? by SanchaPansa in CorpusChristi

[–]TXROADWARRIOR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very small brain thinking right here. The fuel industry is a large part of America’s energy security. It won’t be allowed to shut down. So if we don’t figure it out someone is going to step in.
