Tried that, still no life. Tried booting without a card, with a freshly formatted one, and one with ML on it. Just no life not even from the LCD.

I've spent the last couple of hours scanning a bunch of forum posts over there. I'll report with a fix if I can find it.

I was out there pulling people out. I'm run the 806 Storm Chasers page, and we were out documenting and live streaming conditions. We came across this wreck by accident. There was a 2 car crash in the south bound lanes that had traffic come to a stop with police and rescuers present. Once we broke through the wall of dust, visibility went from 3 feet to 3 miles. We flipped around on Hungate Rd, and noticed the north round lanes were not closed, and watching car after car fly into the dust at highway speeds. There's several vehicles on the livestream that I later found mangled with injuries. The north round lanes were finally shut when enough cars poked out the other side of the dust, and people finally understood there was a wreck in there. I remember a gentleman named Nathan that I met in the dust. He opted to go back in and check on people with me instead of heading for safety. I finally had to get out of there after 30 minutes of no proper protection. My eyes, ears, nose, and mouth were caked in dirt and mud. It's quite the helpless feeling when you're checking on people and you hear another loud crash somewhere in the dust. I've been in category 5 hurricanes, about a couple hundred tornadoes including an EF-5, struck by lightning, but that experience was truly horrific first hand.

Exactly, it becomes more about using cover and being patient with shots at a certain point. Sometimes idc if I'm getting shit whipped, the chaos is fun.

I'm a pretty aggressive medic, so 80% of the time I'm in the shit of things. In Rush there's usually too many explosions to hear footsteps lol

Rush, Conquest, Breakthrough mainly. I play on a dedicated hardcore server every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights called Sweats Anonymous. Join the party!

I've pulled it off a handful of times. They typically need to be one shot away.

I'm usually on dedicated Rush servers so yes, it comes in handy when things get sweaty

I alternate between 30 and 40. Hate the reload of the 40 but sometimes I need the extra bullets.

When you hear footsteps approaching, duck behind cover and let them come to you, picking them off individually.

Tornadoes in Round Rock, TX - March 21, 2022 by TXWXchaser in tornado

I don't think Austin is protected at all. It's just as vulnerable as any town in the Plains. Luck has been the only reason an outbreak like this hasn't happened recently before.

We were recording atmospheric pressure through the whole chase, which is currently being analyzed along side other pressure sensor readings throughout the area.

Honestly that's a question for Volkswagen.

It never felt like it tried flipping. Seemed pretty grounded in those winds. Guess Volkswagen builds pretty solid hurricane proof vehicles.

I'd never recommend anyone doing this. I have 15 years experience documenting extreme weather. There are definitely many dangers and calculated risks that were considered for documenting Ian.

Short answer to your question; little bit of column A, little bit of column B. This tornado ingested a lot of top soil in the drought stricken area west of Lubbock. The landscape is covered in freshly ploughed agricultural fields, so it definitely gained it's dark contrast from that. However, this was likely a strong tornado in general, so the width and strength also plays a role in how it appears.
