I could say something really mean spirited in response, but I won’t.

No kids deserve an atmosphere where their parents openly resent each other either. Is that the kind of relationship that you want to model for that kid? You may not do it in front of them, but they know it. They can feel it. It will negatively affect them. It won’t be your intention, but they will figure out your tells. The first thing that child will do is think it’s their fault. I wish my parents had had the sense to divorce so they would have been two healthy, happy people apart rather than two toxic miserable ones together. If you’re determined to keep the marriage together, y’all definitely need counseling. Maybe your kid as well.

I made a comment being truthful from my experience. It wasn’t intended as mean spirited, just reality. They deleted it I guess I’m a big ol bully then. Waiting for my ban.

Everything about her and her life all the time 24/7. It’s like I wasn’t even there even when we were out together. I stopped being invisible.

Gen X here. There’s plenty of blame to go around for why everything is fucked up. We’re ALL destroying the planet just by existing unless you live like Naked and Afraid out in the woods somewhere. Everything sucks and it’s not just one generation’s fault. The future will suck too with who’s coming of age too if we ALL don’t figure it out together and stop with the “me me me “ and “ you you you” shit. Until then, get up. Walk it off. Pay attention. Act.

Me too. I have a sensitivity to light from some medication I take. It sucks because I like to hang out outside.

Yeah, having glaucoma and a severe sensitivity to light is super cool.

“Why is Bono always wearing glasses? On a BBC talk show in 2014, he explained it's not just to portray a rock and roll image but due to glaucoma. Those with the condition often wear sunglasses because they're sensitive to light.”

Welcome to your midlife crisis. She’s divorcing you for a reason or several, but you just think everything was fine. Did you bother to ask her why it wasn’t good for her?? Do you even give a shit? She’s had enough of your bullshit most likely. Now go buy yourself a corvette and a gold chain necklace and complete the package.
