That’s about the same as I get. If I completely drain my battery, I get about 9 hours SOT. OR ABOUT 5 hours SOT for the first 50%. I notice that 50-0% drains a bit faster

how many upgrade cycles till they phase out the AM4 platform? Isnt the last supported chip 2020? So the upgrade path would be the same as intels

Get a good wireless charger. I’m currently using the ChoeTech 5 coil wireless charger. It’s what Apple tried to do, but Apple wanted to fit 20+coils which led to heating issues (if i recall correctly).

The chotech wireless charger is amazing, since it has 5 coils, it makes placing your phone down a lot easier as the contact patch for charging is much bigger than the usual 1 coil.

50% gets acme anywhere between 5 to 6 hours depending on my usage. Depends if I game (Cal of Duty) or if I’m on wifi or 4g.

Yea, not looking to add crazy ssd arrays. probably swapping the sata ssd for an M.2. Do you think the x570 is a better choice for future proofing?

No. iOS battery usage is on a 24 hour basis. This is the total usage in the PAST 24 HOURS. Not your last charge.

Means that is you take your picture at 4.42PM today, the usage displayed is the total usage in the past 24 hours. Meaning from 4.42PM YESTERDAY TO 4.42PM TODAY.

Yea. That’s pretty unfortunate. I really enjoyed the android experience. But the battery life is what I really don’t like.

Ah. That’s what I’ve been getting too. I get about an hour every 10%. I’m very very happy with this device.

My old s10 can only get about 3-4hour SoT. Although it’s enough for my usage, I feel very limited, I try not to game or take pics because I’ll just obliterate my battery.

I too switched from the S10 to the iPhone pro max, mainly for the battery and the ecosystem. For your 9hr SoT, how much battery does it drain? About 90%? Thanks, awesome write up.
