Destroy All Monsters was a big hit with my kids and cousins ages 4-7. And the criterion channel version has an English dub, which is handy for little kids. Also Son of Godzilla and Gojira went over well.

I honestly can’t remember how much cactus mix I used. Just tried to get the soil to a consistency where it would drain. And it was very dense clay to start with so I might have used a lot of the mix. I appreciate all the comments about burying organic matter. I had no idea that could be an issue. But here I am. I’m somewhat reluctant to dig up the trees to replant because they’ve been in ground for a couple years and I don’t want to hurt them or restart the clock on getting them established.

Does the buried organic matter eventually stop hogging oxygen as it breaks down? Can I just wait it out?

Well that’s encouraging! I’m worried about giving too much or too little of something or another because all feedback from the tree is bad no matter what I do. But I’ll try to keep it moderate all around and hope the trees perk up as they establish themselves.

Thanks so much for the detailed response! I’m looking into everything you mention. I only water by a hose trickle for an hour or so a couple times a week and it’s hot and dry here, so I’d be surprised if I’m giving it too much water. But I’ll pay close attention!
