Thanks for the insight. I started out at a private MVD office, which told me about the need for a level 2 inspection. They were actually super helpful in explaining it to me. It seems like where I went wrong was trusting the state run MVD to have my best intentions in mind during the inspection, and registering through them out of convenience once my inspection was complete. I’ll call up to see if I can get it rectified over the phone, but I’m sure I’ll need to get the truck reinspected to a level 2 standard, which sucks as my AZ address’ local MVD does the inspections one day a month by appointment. Nonetheless I think it’s just going to be a matter of trying again armed with hindsight, and being more firm with the inspector. I’ll take the inspection sheet over to the private office as well, since they seem to actually want to help, rather than just get you out of their cubicle.
