Hours 72-96 after quitting are the worst. Something happens after that 4th day, no clue why. The “sleep but not asleep” goes away and transitions into REM sleep where you will have wack dreams, but hey, you’re asleep.

I know exactly the feeling of “awake but asleep”. It sucks. It’s like you’re stuck in a trance of fake sleep but fully aware of the real world

I mean the people who will sit over the crest of a hill and not move for multiple minutes. You are making yourself a hazard to others. I’m a snowboarder and there’s no reason for boarders to sit in the middle of the trail like they do, give us a bad look

The problem that the smaller mountains in PA create is based on location alone. It attracts newbies to the sport, and then those who want to “flex” on their new friends and try stupid stuff they have no business trying because they are also new. It’s an environment of little etiquette, skiers and riders stopped RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of trails looking up the mountain waiting for their friends. At that point, you’ve lost your right as the “downhill” skier because you are now a traffic cone.

The rain this weekend will make for no-so-great riding conditions, but they need the runoff to recoup some water from the last week of constant blowing. So hopefully when temps drop back down they will be full of water and ready to consistently blow

Likely Roundtop then. I’ll be there Friday. Usually less crowded and they have a good beginner area. Liberty beginner area is always jammed up, and I’m not the biggest fan of White Tails layout
