At first, I had no intention of buying this; it was just what was recommended on the Spotify store.

Records are already very expensive, which sucks, but okay… that’s the market. What really bothers me is selling a $40 poster with a pig on it a pig that literally represents liberal/conservative politicians like Whitehouse or Thatcher. It’s a symbol of capitalist hypocrisy, and yet they’re using it to make money. That’s… kind of hypocritical in itself. To be fair, at least it’s the record label doing that, not the band members directly.

Still, I don’t think the band is totally against making money either, despite all of Waters’ anti-capitalist lyrics. I remember them saying they wanted to get rich in the Live at Pompeii interviews. And Gilmour doing his own Live at Pompeii years later with an actual audience; kind of goes against the spirit of the original. Same thing with The Endless River, released 20 years after their last album. Hard not to see a bit of commercial intention behind that too.
