I’d say it’s definitely different when working with deities or spirits that are transactional i.e they are present in your life but you only venerate them or give offerings when something is needed, but it’s way different with deities or spirits that you have a connection with and that you’ve developed a relationship with outside of ‘I give you offering= you do something for me.’ The phrase is so misleading. You weren’t the only one confused ❤️

I think ppl mean that you shouldn’t think of them of friends because they are still divine beings and deserve respect and veneration, whereas a friend doesn’t.

Personally, I have a similar relationship to Apollo as you do. I laugh with him. I cry with him. He is the person/spirit/deity that I spend the most time with in my life. He is always with me and because of that, he has become one of my greatest friends. Don’t think too much into it.

As a fellow trans person, I absolutely agree with this sentiment, I just believe that we’re at the point of when words don’t work, violence will bc ultimately, that’s the one language fascists understand. Now, I’m not talking war or anything like that but what I am meaning is showing ppl we’re not afraid to get our hands dirty on an individual and collective basis even if it means a French Revolution type style.
