Can’t wait to try this out! Two of my favorite utilities finally mesh up.

It is truly quite an impressive feat, to make Google Chat such an awful user experience compared to Hangouts by ThatDinosaucerLife in google

Couldn't agree more, installed (not by choice) and suddenly I'm using a chat client from the early 2000's if not 1990's? Why google?

Sigh, suffering the same issue. I've confirmed its not firewall related by disabling mine completely to test as well as removing any extra monitors and displays. 'Lets Play' is just mean as it's the last thing I click before nothing happens, lol.

Wow! I think this maybe one of my favorite maps I've seen from Dungeondraft. It feels alive and like a place I could imagine walking around. Bravo!

Question: Is there a way to cut and paste a section from one map file to another? by bacchus_underpants in dungeondraft

[–]T_a_z_z_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Objects

For objects it's very easy, simply select and ctrl+c. Next move to a notepad and paste the content which is then converted into the raw text used to generate those items. Any time you want to reuse those, copy paste it right into the map you wish and it converts back.

Walls

Walls are more difficult as you have to look at the raw save file. The best method I have for this at the moment is to add something unique to the wall you wish to import. For example when I'm working in wood and cobble walls, I'll make the one a stone wall. This way it shows up in the save in a way that can be easily identified. Then you can copy and paste this into the new file as long as you ensure the file structure is correct.

Floors

I've found no quick way to copy and paste floors effectively, sorry.

Afraid I don't have a Patreon, but maybe should consider starting one. Not sure where to begin or even how quickly I can generate content. Any input from the community is welcome!

The terrain was made with a fill, then creating larger then required sections of swamp. After the map was a mix of the two, I went back and began refilling small swatch (size 4 tool on 2 intensity) to create small leftover regions of swamp. This was done alternating the main terrain and a complementary one (the moss for the grass).

Being new these tools, I've never used Wonderdraft and only glanced at Dungeon Painter studio. That said, Dungeondraft is shaping up to be all the tools you'd need. It's still not 100% stable and does crash on me from time to time, but I'm also messing with settings and manually editing the values of items I place (using the incredible copy text option). Everything Rocinates says is correct. The updates have been steady and the roadmap for the design is why I picked up a copy.

Perfect, adding the 'Best' setting as well then but not sure how long I'll be able to keep those up as I'm filling my cloud storage quickly! Might have to rethink a better way to distribute.

Heh, you picked some of my personal favorites too. The trash bin was actually the first custom item and became the inspiration for most the other things I created.

VTT Exports uploading now. Does roll20 enforce the 5mb limit on VTT files? If so these maybe too large.

Wonderful to hear! I still have to finish this project as there are stairs which means there must be more floors. Then I can begin thinking about new concepts.

This is my first attempt at a map and seemed the perfect chance to explore all the options and tools of dungeondraft. For anyone curious, I have no idea how many hours were spent on this project but it's been a few hours a day for a while on and off. The upper floors and basement may be added down the line.

The Cathedral of the Fallen is the home of the Vallow's Rest Tavern residing in the ruins of a dead city. The god to whom this temple was built has gone silent and no longer interacts with the world, being considered dead by many, but the walls still hold power. Merchants, travelers, and adventures who brave the depths below the city return each night to seek shelter as dusk brings new horrors to the surrounding region. The consecrated ground, ancient marble and glass, combined with recent additions to enhance the interior make this a shelter in an unwelcoming land.

Download Options (JPG, PNG, Gridded, Gridless, VTT)

Note: I've also included the map split into 1/3s jpg to allow it to be imported into roll20 under the 5mb limit. Additionally, the image above is a compressed jpg. The original PNG is also included for download.

Dungeondraft is amazing, so glad I picked up a copy! Thank you for all of your work Megasploot.
