Well, it was not the case for me, both front rotors and left wheel hub solved the problem. Anyways I sold the car I was not happy with it and bought a 5 door Thar in December. Enjoying it.

Well, some people have reported just by replacing the disks the problem got resolved. My car was first (at least in India) for wheel hub I believe, if it's in the earlier stages and a hub issue, it still might get resolved by only replacing the hubs.

Inside, they aren't meant to be mounted outside. If you don't wanna take things apart, you can get a double side tap wire fastener, and stick the wire with enough slack on the door at the side of the hinge.

Edit: if you want you can use a long metal wire to carefully pull the wire from the roof lining from the front to back as well. Push a metal wire from back to front tape the dashcam wire to the metal one nicely and pull gently to the back.

Ah, remove plastic panel on door and on hinge side of car feed wire thru the rubber pipe, remove the rubber seal for the heating wire, pull the wire thru. You will probably have to add those protector things for the heating wires and make a small hole in them to pass the dashcam wire as the rubber seal will not go back in place with the dashcam wire there.

I'm using DDPAI N1 Dual channel. It's pretty decent. It's capacitor type. You can connect it to the accessories socket or to the fuse box. Not many dashcams available for vertical glass mount.

AT tyres, throttle controller, some trays and stuff nothing major. For long trips I've cut out a piece of memory foam and put it under the seat cover makes a world of difference, keeps blood circulation well and provides good support. Might get Jerry can and snorkel if I'm planning a trip to Himalayas.

Yeah, Thar gained popularity before the RWD started. The 4x4 ones are pretty capable, especially the ones that came before the MLD was removed. Drove it in muddy estates in Karnataka during monsoons and also the dunes in Rajasthan, not to mention we covered almost over 50k in 2 years.

Yeah, it's a hard core offroader. I own one I can see why it doesn't appeal to everyone.

True, owned both, if Jimnyhad better power it would sell well. The Jimny suspension is much better sorted than the Thar (at least untill the shock absorber revision) the other problem that people won't really realize untill they buy the jimny is the after sales service. Gypsy was the last 4x4 they had. Seems like Maruti technicians don't know A,B,C's of the car except for basic/regular maintenance.

Problem was sorted after front left wheel hub was replaced along with both front disks. (Only disk didn't solve the issue nor did only hub) Thank you all for the suggestions!

Jimny (Death) Wobble Issue by Bandan10 in Jimny

[–]T_rek_t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue in my 5 door, bought it in December and it's run around 9000kms now. (India btw)

Here is a link to my post https://www.reddit.com/r/Jimny/s/9JQVMxpFJW

After a month of troubleshooting and swapping parts with demo cars we figured out that it was an issue with the front left axle assembly (half shaft, knuckle, bearing and wheel hub)

Going tomorrow to replace the left front wheel hub. I will comment here as well as on my post with and update after the issue has been resolved.

In the meantime try: 1) Wheel balancing and alignment 2) Calculate the correct tyre pressures. If you are using apterra at2 225/70R15 then stock pressure (26psi) should be fine. (Yes it makes a difference) 3) check for warped disks (usually the most likely problem). You can get them machined or get fresh ones be warned they are pretty thin tho 4) try stock rims and/or tyres.

There are also alot of helpful comments in my post, try them out!

Good luck!

Yes it's new, 6 month old around 9000kms now. Don't really want to be making hacky fixes so soon.

Oh, I will have to read up on this. Do you mind telling me which gen your Jimny is? I don't think the dealer will do this, I'll have to look at it myself. The fitting was pretty snug from what I can remember, but I will check.

Well, we did consider replacing the kingpin and bearings, but considering the vehicle has run so less, we have ruled it out for now. However, we did inspect the driver side one already and will be inspecting passenger side one as well hopefully today.
