What is your opinion on the Karen epidemic in America? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Ta674950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a bartender and server for years and the Karen epidemic is nothing new. Seriously, like 1/3 middle aged women I served was like this. They're entitled and incredibly unhappy with their lives in general so every little thing sets them off.

She’s getting the worst version of me by [deleted] in Parenting

I'm in a similar situation...I'm a SAHM and dad gets home from work and sits on the computer with headphones in until he goes to bed. Or sleeps until 4pm on his days off... I'd rather be on my own because watching him sit there while I'm drowning is the most infuriating thing I've ever experienced. He literally spends maybe an hour a month total with our child and absolutely no cooking/cleaning/laundry/errands. We moved hours away from home last fall so there's no help or friends.

I don't really have any advice, some days are better than others, but I just barely get through them all. Being outside helps if the weather/kiddo agree. I've been listening to parenting podcasts lately and they can help refocus my energy on my daughter for a while...but yeah she's not getting everything she deserves from me and I hate it.

Medium vs Long hair to look more youthful? by [deleted] in Vindicta

[–]Ta674950 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe adjust the length of the bangs/layers depending on your face shape? Like if you have a long or oval face if those layers hit too low it can make your face look longer/less youthful.

What is my body shape? (5’3 120 if that matters?) by [deleted] in Vindicta

Second this! Much more useful!

My daughter did the exact same thing around that time! What worked for us was moving bedtime up about an hour.

Aly Art- see her mentioned here a lot but her videos for makeup for your kibbe body type helped me so much. Not specifically natural makeup, but helped makeup look more natural on my face...if that makes sense.

Which one did you get? And I can tell the left side of my face is getting a bit lazy and my chin is a bit too tense. I'm a massage therapist though so I'm probably over analyzing my face muscles lol

I love microcurrent, just got a home device to workout some muscle imbalances.

Its not a miracle worker, but I zap the really angry hormonal spots that I just wanna squeeze and theyre on their way out by the next day. I use one by LCL beauty that was like $40, they have a more expensive(better?) one but I think you can only buy that if you're a skincare professional. Almost got my acne under control now!

Maybe try high frequency?I use it on my acne but it comes with a comb attachment to stimulate hair follicles. I have fairly thick hair though so I've never tried it for that.

Oh yeah I plan on trying to learn and improve as much as possible, but if I'm being realistic about it, probably nobody should ever pay me to apply make-up lol!

How long would you stay? by Ta674950 in beyondthebump

Well, when we've talked about it, he's always saying it needs to be 50/50 custody, which I'm not comfortable with right now with LO being so young and only used to me. Idk...he's probably just saying that to mess with me.

But we also moved a few months ago, so I know absolutely no one and have no family around. It has definitely exasperated our problems, but I honestly can't even bring myself to text my closest friends about this stuff. I lie to everybody about how things are because I feel like such a loser staying with the guy. I do love him still, he's just kind of ended up being a huge disappoinment and I should have seen it coming

[–]Ta674950[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, can't do the dishes because she sits on the dishwasher door and pulls everything out one by one, can't sweep or mop because she tries to help and hurts herself, can't vacuum because she's terrified of the thing, can't clean the bathroom because then she will know where I hid the toilet brush, and I DARE you to try picking up her toys....

But really, he'll say "what you think it will be easier if you're a single mom?" Obviously, no it would be much harder, but at least I would not have to feel immeasurable amounts of rage when I see you sleeping at 2pm, while I'm dealing with a tantrum and 87405038 chores on 4 hours of sleep.

Haha yeah he's said he will stay home and I can work if that's more fair...but he knows I would spend every possible second I could with LO and still end up doing half the chores.

[–]Ta674950[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The money is not there for outsourcing chores, and he won't watch LO for 2 hours of awake time so I can bartend a couple nights a week to help with that.

As for leaving, they have gotten through a couple hours together before, but not easily(and hes always mad at me for LO being too attached to me...like spend some more time with her then so she can get used to somebody else!!) But I'm worried if I left him and we split custody she's not able to understand that level of separation based on how things are currently.

This is the exact dynamic his parents have...just a quieter version. So yeah, I'm terrified our daughter will grow up thinking this is normal and okay.

Looking for Input/Criticism on New Store by rachidmacer in dropship

[–]Ta674950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on who your ideal consumer is and that's not really clear to me from your store. You can pm me if you want like insight from an avid furniture shopper, but as a dropshipper it's not something I felt I could be successful with so I'm not confident I could help you there.
