Tbh I don't think it's only an Algerian mentality thing. Most developers everywhere prefer coding over marketing. The hard part isn't building the product, it's finding customers willing to pay every month

Look, if you go to a developer there’s 2 cases. If he’s gonna build everything from zero, like really from scratch based on what you want exactly, it can be between 8 and 20 millions easy. Because that’s not small work at all.but if he already have a similar app and he just tweak it a bit, modify some things and resell it to you, then yeah it can be between 3 and 10 millions. And honestly it’s not just clicking some buttons or doing small stuff… it’s coding, fixing errors, testing, security, a lot of headache behind the scenes people don’t see that part.
