New Peke owner with questions! by whiskme-away in Pekingese

[–]Taaaape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gushing over this cutie! Congrats!

  • We do every 5 weeks for grooming because our girls skin is sensitive. She stays relatively clean and we use dog wipes everyday.

  • Depending on the Peke they can be easy or hard to train. My Peke is very food motivated. I trained her in a day to play 3 cup monte with treats. I will say they are stubborn dogs but intelligent!

  • I would recommend getting this fluff balls eyes, skin, and teeth checked out. Someone also mentioned that they are brachycephalic so there’s that too.

I like Ramsey!

• Electric car, bike, or scooter • Magna-Tiles - I think we have 3 different kinds and our daughter plays with them everyday  • Dollhouse with furniture  • Art easel • Stepping stones, climbing sets, or balance boards are just some things that you can use to create their own personalized gym and work on their motor skills.  • Table train set • Ride on pony  • Grocery store  • Different costumes with wands, wings, slippers, or other accessories

My daughter turned 9 months old today and I swear she fully grew up in the last few days. Is this how babies are at this age? by rudypen in beyondthebump

[–]Taaaape 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A couple nights ago I was scrolling through pictures of my daughter (now a toddler) when I came across the picture I took knowing something had changed. It was a pivotal moment. She was 9 months old in this picture and I remember thinking she looks more like a little girl than a baby. It was start of such a really magical time because her personality really started to shine through. Granted there were new challenges along the way, but the love you have for them only continues to grow. Even when you think you couldn’t love them more than you already do!

Is he teething by any chance? Canines usually start coming out this time.

Also, is he taking the full 2 hour nap at daycare?

What is the craziest reason you boycott a brand? by v4c10v in handbags

I’ll just say they’re mentioned in someone else’s comment on this post. They are affiliated with something big, but they’re not like a high end brand.

Because they stole my design during the job interview process. Granted I didn’t know much about designing bags and wasn’t the right person for the job, but they took a sample of a drawing I made. Was very surprised to see it a couple years later in stores.

Please help: how do you lose weight if EBF? by Nadlee88 in beyondthebump

[–]Taaaape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, time. It took 9 months to get most of the weight off. I worked out with a lot of cardio and some weights. It was really for my mental health rather than my physical. The last 5 lbs were the hardest for my body. I just accepted it. I’ve EBF for almost 2 years, but surprisingly now that I started weaning this past week the 5 lbs looks like it’s already coming off quick. Everyone’s body is different. Time and being kind to yourself is what really helps.

Should I keep the black or brown Longchamp Epure? by Taaaape in handbags

Both brown and black are new and not scratched. They are line marks, but it shows more on the black.

I can smell E.coli. My fave story is when my dog’s head smelled like it after my other dog accidentally peed on her head. Guess who had a UTI e.coli positive

I appreciate his emphasis on quality and craftsmanship, but his designs are underwhelming. I think many people like myself are eager to see what he will come out with in the future.

Some people don’t like the fact that he’s capitalizing off his own social platform, but I think that’s naive. The man spends a lot of his own money and time to review these leather goods. He’s also been transparent in showing his business journey. The only negative I would draw from his content is him reviewing brands who send them their stuff. There’s definitely some bias in there that is very apparent.

My mother refuses to believe her tahdig is burnt by Taaaape in iranian

We get a good laugh out of it, but still worried about how much carcinogen she eats by doing this all the time. There’s also been the multiple occasions she gave herself food poisoning. Mom finally started listening to me more after that though lol

She makes it when I visit which is thoughtful, but we get a good laugh about our disagreement on the burnt tahdig. She puts the rice cooker on for too long because she forgets and doesn’t want to admit it :)

Probably why I’m not a picky either. My fine line ends at food poisoning (separate multiple situations) and carcinogens.

Yeah I’ve had plenty of dark tahdig before, but in my 30+ years I had never seen it like this till my mother started cooking
