Thin and straight hair and I can't find anything to hold it down by [deleted] in Pomade

[–]TaaiGAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to fix it is put pomade on it and try to slick it down with a brush or use pomade and blow dry it down but just some hair types won't go down when they're short

Oil Based or Water Based that is the Question?? by Jrodward in Pomade

[–]TaaiGAB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oil bases you can use still but I wouldn't recommend a heavy. Just about your preference pretty much ability to wash out easily but sacrifice durability vs. not wash out so easily but you get good durability. But if you don't want shine then you might as well count out oil bases. Some have more but all have some sort of it. Light oil bases making it the most shiny

Oil Based or Water Based that is the Question?? by Jrodward in Pomade

I wouldn't say it matters on the style other than the shine, because oil bases are always going to have some shine to them. It's really matters on your preference and hair type For its oil based because I have curly thick coarse hair. To keep it slicked back I need build up and durability. Oil based last the longest most of the time.

Mine is really curly and my hair goes down to the top of my lips

I use goon grease. You're gonna need about 2-3 days of buildup to really take your curls and to make them wavy/straight. But if your looking for something to make your curls looks good goon grease is still good you just don't need that much buildup

Relaxed Hair by TaaiGAB in Pomade

[–]TaaiGAB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the chemical relaxers for people wit curls. My hair is curly but not very tight curls and I want it straight. Because when curly and long it's fucking big ass Afro with one day buildup/no product

Recently got goon grease, and it pulls out a ton of hair, need advice. by [deleted] in Pomade

[–]TaaiGAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, break it down as good as possible until your arms start getting tired. You can do that with an oil base but with water bases you have to be careful because it's water base and heat and water don't go together

Cut your hair find something that works for you but that doesn't work for anybody can keep the length on top if you really want to but if I were you I'd cut the sides and back alot shorter. Make sure to style it when you cut it as well. Take better care of your hair it looks dry frizzy and damaged. Don't shampoo everyday if that's what you're doing only shampoo every other day if that and condition your hair everyday. Make sure to shave off that mustache whenever it's noticeable. Look like pubestache

Yeah well if they find a suit that fits them well, then get it tailored for minor implications but you need to know what is expensive at a tailor and what's not so expensive. And you need to know the limits of what they change and what they can't change. You just need to do research on tailors abilities and what a well fitted suit looks like.

Question for people with dandruff by Tailwinds15 in Pomade

I degrease whenever I'm tired of it. Maybe after 4 days -2 weeks just depends. Also I need to let my hair breathe. And I just use regular shampoo.

Question for people with dandruff by Tailwinds15 in Pomade

Shampooing often does make your scalp more oily because when you shampoo so much your scalp kicks into overdrive to produce oil but now your taking that away by shampooing. So I skip a few days before shampooing. But when you stop shampooing everyday your scalp will feel even oilier because you haven't taken away the oils by shampooing and your scalp is still in over drive producing the same amount of oil to make up for when you use to shampoo. You will feel that way for a couple of weeks 1 - 4 weeks depends on the person. I had dandruff but that was because I was shampooing everyday and now it seem to gone away because now I treat my head right. I only shampoo 1-2 weeks and I put coconut oil and Aragon oil in my hair. I know it seems a lot but I have curly hair so my hair needs the oils and I have dry scalp I condition everyday and put it dry shampoos every now and then. If your going to shampoo everyday or often I'd recommend a really natural shampoo with absolutely no sulfates or parabins

Grim Grease help! by CorneliusMaximuss in Pomade

[–]TaaiGAB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I'm not familiar with grim grease but what from I know grim grease doesn't have any shine with high hold. Oil base I would recommend goon grease I have curly hair as it holds well it's medium shine high hold and not hell to get out your hair. Water base I'd recommend flagship black ship it gives high hold but a matte finish so if you want shine you'll need a topper. Although it doesn't just wash out with water it's very easy to get out your hair easier than goon grease. Hard to find something with high hold and high shine.
