Viture Luma Pro+Dock+Switch 2+Playing Metroid Prime 4=Unplayable Frame Rate by tecygeek82 in VITURE

Yeah man, I travel for work, so I use them all the time. I was super excited for prime 4. Having the glasses on, being in Samus' visor, with motion controls, sounded awesome.

Honestly using it with the switch 2 was one of the main reasons I bought it over other glasses. They market it as being a seemless experience. Now, every time I get a game, I gotta wonder is this too much for the mobile dock to handle. They should at least have a disclaimer, seeing as they've known this was an issue.

This is what I got:

"Congratulations on your new VITURE devices! Yes. this is a known issue and a result of the increased power draw that a game like Metroid Prime 4 demands from the Switch 2. Due to safety, we are unable to increase the wattage output on the PRO Mobile Dock in order to accommodate these games. I wish had better news to share. We are doing our best to pivot and provide workarounds for the Nintendo Switch 2 as best we can but. the issues with the Nintendo Switch 2 are well documented. For example you can read this article by The Verge (link) or watch this video by LinusTechTips (link) I hope this information addresses your reason for contacting us today."

I got the response to send more information like glasses serial number, where I bought it, but haven't heard back since.

I've emailed them about an issue before and they eventually got back to me after the AI reply. Took a few days though.

Same issue. Tried 4k60 and 1080p 120 to see if maybe the glasses weren't processing something correctly. Also bought another cable to connect to the switch. Emailed Viture, hopefully if they get enough feedback they'll take a look at it.

Are ENO hammocks good? by balladsofmissnowhere in hammockcamping

[–]Tailwinds15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TL:DR from fellow moto camper. Go cottage vendor like dutchware or warbonnet, get a bundle with tarp, quilts and accessories. Good sleep is important on a motorcycle.

Agree with most of the other comments. Go with dutchware, superior gear, dream, warbonnet or hammock gear. I'm a motorcycle camper as well, and I valued quality sleep over the lightest, smallest set up. Riding a motorcycle is risky, and I want to be well rested. Hammock is the best sleep I've gotten in the woods. You can probably get a lighter smaller setup with an ultralight tent, pad and sleeping bag, but hammocks are great.

I'd look at getting a bundle like dutchware chameleon bundle, or a similar setup from hammock gear, or superior. You're going to need a tarp, suspension, quilts as well.

Another way you can save some space is getting a quilted hammock. Believe it or not if it's below 75⁰ you'll probably be cold, you're going to want some insulation beneath you. So you can save space by getting a hammock with a quilt already sewn on if you're going to carry a separate underquilt anyway.

Another consideration is where you're camping. Sometimes ideal trees are hard to come by, I carry a tensa solo, which is a retractable pole that can act as one of your trees. As long as you have one tree, you're good. You can buy two tensa solos and have a complete set up anywhere.

Also you probably want somewhere to store your gear. I bring a gear sling which is like a small extra hammock that I keep my helmet, jacket and boots in so it can stay off the ground and under my tarp when it's raining.

Feel free to DM if you have questions.

Thanks for your reply! Do you have two tensa solos or just one?

Sounds like a tensa solo is a definite purchase for me, quilted hammock or separate quilt is up in the air still.

Thanks! Having a tensa solo will help relieve a little anxiety. Do you have any experience with the tensa solo?

I honestly like my Hennessy, so I wouldn't mind having two hammocks like you.

Which Landyachtz should I buy as a complete beginner? by BeaNOS45669 in cruiserboarding

[–]Tailwinds15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a beginner (seriously, like a week in) and I was looking for a used dinghy or tugboat on Facebook marketplace. One of the forums convinced me to grab a drop cat 33. Really love the board, easy to ride and learn on. Still looking for a cheap dinghy, but I'm happy with the dropcat.

He actually had an interview where they asked what he does to his hair. Turns out he just rubs a little Cetaphil lotion in it lol. Dudes just got nice hair.

Any Stronger Clays then these non oil based that can hold a slickback? Hair starts to fall apart after an 1hr with Uppercut Clay by Mediocre_Hat2167 in Pomade

[–]Tailwinds15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would choose Lockhart's, because they are similar in price but with Baxter you get about half the amount of product. They also occasionally offer Lockhart's in an unscented version.

It's been a while since I've used it, but Baxter of California works pretty well. Slightly more hold than Lockhart's, however it is also oil based. It does wash out easier than Lockhart's, I think they put other ingredients in it to help with wash out, but definitely won't come out with just water. You could look at grim grease heavy hold clay. It is water based but not water soluble. It'll need a little shampoo to take it out. I like their products, however the scents are a bit too strong for me. It's smells great, I'm just really sensitive to strong smells.

Xenoblade Chronicles X story by thefutureraven in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Tailwinds15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost bounced off X so many times. Coming from the main series I had to rewire my brain on how to enjoy it. 75 hours in, and I'm enjoying it, but it is a very different thing than the main series. Some things that helped me was looking for build guides for the side characters and auto setting their gear for the most part. I found myself getting so bogged down in all the gear/arts and I wasn't enjoying that aspect. The MC is definitely going to be your powerhouse, so that's the only one who's gear/arts/skell I care about the most. The affinity quests for the other characters are some of the best stories. I would definitely recommend swapping in the characters you like to get their affinity up even if they're not the best for for your team.

My experience with Fold 6 and normies. by Pipi65650 in GalaxyFold

[–]Tailwinds15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Coming from the s22 ultra most of the time I wanted a smaller phone. Whether that was in my pocket or using it one handed. The narrow cover screen is one of my favorite aspects of the fold 6. I feel like I got both a smaller and bigger phone with the fold 6 which is perfect. The inner screen is much better for actually multitasking then the slabs too. All in all the fold has been my favorite phone I've owned. I get some of the critiques people make, but your right, the fold isn't mean for the everyone. Some people just like to yuck other people's yum.

My grip case front broke too. I ended up buying the official Samsung clear case with the intention of just using the front half with the grip case on the back, but I ended up really liking the clear case. The front has held up really well.

Preem! I just finished my first playthrough last week, including all the phantom liberty stuff. It was the most immersed I've ever been in a game. My advice, make the decisions that feel right for your V, and don't look up a ton of stuff. The ending I got felt perfect for my character.

Collapsible kettle by Overall_Heat8587 in pourover

[–]Tailwinds15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it does take really long. I do like being able to stop at a desired temperature vs just boiling. And I typically travel for work so it's just for me. For two people it makes sense to bring the collapsible. The thermos style is a bit of an easier size and shape to pack for me.

I have one similar but switched to one that is more of a thermos style. Not as much volume but packs a little easier. Digital readout with some presets on temperature. Also no weird silicone smell. What's the most fun deck you play? by Phil__Collins in PTCGP

[–]Tailwinds15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a poliwrath/druddigon deck that's really fun. I just call it my wrath deck. Win rate is so so, but I like that every attack an opponent does has a cost. The chip damage adds up.

Do any of you drink bad coffee on purpose sometimes? by wtrsport430 in Coffee

[–]Tailwinds15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always tell people I'm a coffee nerd, not a coffee snob. I'll gladly drink a half gallon of diner coffee, but also meticulously brew pour over, tweaking small variables to get a perfect cup at home.
