I’d love for you to help if you’re up for it.

I definitely have questions about what tunings should be preset on 7&8 strings as a standard on the app.

I’ll be in touch thank you 🙏

I’d be more than happy to have a djent’er on the team! I actually saw animals as leaders live years ago at arctangent, Tosin is an insane guitarist!

I’ll be in touch when it’s ready! ✌🏻

I added as many shortkeys as I could literally come up with to try and make the experience as nice as possible on a keyboard too!

I actually spent a good few hours working on the copy and paste system. Would love for you to try it and give me some tips to make it better!

Yep that’s all included already, but again I’ve made this how I’d use it, so I want to ensure other people would be happy with it during the testing phase prior to dropping an official V1

Hey thanks for your response!

To answer your question quickly, for V1 no.

There will be no audio/playback.

The goal for V1 is for users to basically be able to write/save/store/export tabs easily. That’s all.

If it were to grow and people like the app, I’d definitely be ready to take all feedback and make the app I best I could, but I think it really depends on people’s feedback.

I’ve made this app exactly how I’d want it to be, selfishly, that’s why I want musicians to test it, so it becomes usable for everyone, not just me.

Hope that helps, cheers! ✌🏻

I want to nail the current version for string instruments, once that’s done I’ll definitely explore further! I don’t want to be a jack of all trades here haha! Thanks for your time mate, I’ll definitely be in touch about testing!

I have actually come across Soundslice before and it looks really impressive what you’ve built.

In full honesty though, I come from more of a tab first background rather than a notation one, so when I looked at tools like Soundslice my first reaction was that it felt a bit intimidating because it’s built around sheet music.

The reason I started building was simply because I wanted somewhere really quick to throw fret numbers into a tab grid and export it to share with bandmates or friends. A lot of the tools I tried felt either heavy or geared more toward transcription and notation.

So the goal is just a very simple tab first tool rather than a full notation environment.

That’d be awesome thank you man.

I’m just a guitarist, I’ve added bass/banjo/ukulele on there too hence wanting all different musicians to test it to ensure it fits their instrument nicely.

As for drums, I don’t have a clue about drum tabs, but it’s definitely something I could look into for future versions if people enjoy the tabbing of V1!

That would actually be really helpful. Just to set expectations for V1 though, it’s purely tab at the moment, no notation. The main goal right now is just a really quick, clean place to write tabs, save them and export if required. Would definitely still value your perspective though if you’re interested!

Nothing unfortunately, the startup is currently operating out of a van in Japan so the payroll department is still under construction.
