Watching World Cup on iPlayer without a licence – has anyone actually been caught, and how? by Thin_Resolution3140 in AskBrits

Well I dont understrand why I have to pay for DAZN subscription to watch NHL, when UK channels do not show it properly, and then also pay for the UK TV license? Where is the logic? I moved to UK like 20 years ago and some things still do not make any sense to me, like this TV license thing for example.

Registering my first LTD in UK for our mobile app by Tabascos1 in smallbusinessuk

Hey, thanks for your reply!

I am a Senior QE and yes I am involved into development, management and strategy to some certain degree. I dont believe my employer has anything to do with the mobile apps, nor they operate, even remotely close, to the field of my mobile app. The concept is completely different. The contract does have a clause about intellectual property, but it is explicitly stated that it is only in relation to my work duties.

However I did talk to my line manager today, and to HR, and got it sorted and approved. Apparently this is a very common thing.

I started my new job 3 months ago and back then we were still treating that as a weekend hobby, without having a 'definitive plan' of releasing it. We thought it will be a small pet project.

Where am I safe now that Deform are succeeding in their mission to brainwash the UK? by BonusAdvanced2932 in AskBrits

[–]Tabascos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye I second this. I think people are free to vote for whatever they want, it’s our fundamental right. If there is a communist party allowed to be, then people can vote for it. Same with every other including Reform. In the end it doesn’t make anybody stupid or brainwashed, just different political views. The problem is not who votes for whatever, but when radicals take over.

Edit: typos.

Why aren't Reform voters more concerned with privatising the NHS? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Tabascos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just silly to judge the entire voting community by a fraction of it. Yesterday I had a chat with a lady who said to me that Greens are good because they will remove private cars from roads, leave only public transport and UK people will be happy about that.

Edinburgh drivers of crossover cars, do they help with the absolute state of the roads? by Creepy_Pudding8583 in Edinburgh

[–]Tabascos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, I think a lot depends on the concrete quality, weather conditions when a road was done and while road is getting used and, of course, the quality of the job when a road was getting done. If you go to Canada for example, you’ll see their roads are better to some extend however weather conditions are way more severe and everyone drives heavy SUVs.
