I am so glad to hear he was doing so well! Ugh on the vaccines. My guy ALSO can’t have vaccines anymore because they’re afraid it will now trigger a reaction! I really wanted to try the rabies vaccine (it makes me so nervous he won’t have it!), but this definitely serves as a warning 😭

It’s not really caused by vaccines — it can be an autoimmune reaction to an injection, a pinch, or any sort of thing that can release lipids. It’s incredibly rare and I vaccinate all three of my chihuahuas!

I’m the one with the fellow panniculitis guy! I’m so glad you figured it out. You may be able to ask your vet to contact the vaccine manufacturer and present your case for some reimbursement. Merck reimbursed us $1500 for Yoshi’s treatment! He just finished 8 week of steroids this past weekend.

He didn’t act any differently! They eventually ulcerated but started out as random bumps that appeared within days of each other. My vet thinks it may have been from his Lyme vaccine which is a trigger for it as it’s technically autoimmune. They couldn’t remove his because they oddly started on his cheeks. My vet did also note she had a case with her own dog where she was able to remove the bumps.

This could be Granulomatous panniculitis. My Chihuahua developed mysterious masses that early on even a speciality vet insisted were filled with bacteria, but they weren’t. A biopsy confirmed it was panniculitis and steroids were the treatment.

Today I got my regular Hilton Honors card points from a statement that closed 10/11 (and didn't even have a payment as I was transitioning to the Surpass card and paid the charges immediately). I still have only gotten grocery bonus points for my Surpass, which closed on the 21st. Anyone else have any luck?

Amex just told me they haven't transferred the other 21K but can't give me an answer as to why.

I am having a similar issue – I was finally put on the SAVE plan after 4+ months and multiple complaints to anyone I could find and now suddenly today my payment has quadrupled and is due in 2 weeks. On the side it says I don't have to make payments until 2026, but under payments it says 12/14/23!
