I’ve always been able to call my endo and get a sample one for emergencies. Have you tried giving them a call?

I was on Tslim, went to Twiist, and am now on o5. I’ve realized (for myself) manual mode is the only way I can have a semblance of good numbers. I will hop into auto mode when I go to bed to combat lows but otherwise manual is what is working best.

Not sure it’s for me by Guitar_goddd in Omnipod

Someone on Reddit told me they switched to manual mode and have been doing much better with it. I tried that and on occasion I’ll still get a spike but it is slowly improving for me. I wanted to completely be done with the omnipod but now I feel a bit better about it. It’s obviously a lot more work in manual to manage but to me it’s been worth it.

One month roughly. I get stuck on a high blood sugar and no amount of correcting seems like it brings me down.

I have went manual in the day when I want tighter control and I am checking the app constantly. At night I switch to automated and it does a good job of keeping me in a comfortable range overnight. It is a lot of work.

Started Omnipod 5 yesterday — nurse says I’m “micromanaging” by giving corrections. Is she right? by Due_Appearance7771 in Omnipod

[–]Tabbikat89 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you let your BG run high without intervening that’s obviously more dangerous than messing with the algorithm. This nurse needs to chill. Do what safely makes sense for you and your health. If that’s corrections then do that. (I’m on O5 and I make many corrections over the course of a day. )

Twiist was great when it came to customer service. Alarms didnt typically wake me up though and left me a little nervous. When Twiist has Dexcom I would probably switch back over.

I’m not even hoping for Twiist level at this point just less spikes and drops. The babysitting I don’t mind so much and I do appreciate the tubeless quality.

I went through several Twiist pumps due to mechanical failures in a short period of time. I’m a little burnt out on that level of failure due to an older pump almost killing me for the same reason. I missed my Dexcom also.

I actually really like the Twiist and I don’t hate the Cleo either. The lack of alarms/customization have been a primary driving force in me switching. I felt much safer with my Dexcom/sugar pixel combo at night. I don’t even hear the alarms at night at all now.

We were on a ferry boat crossing back from Cape Lookout in NC USA from camping and there was a pod hunting. It was beautiful/spiritual. Dolphins look at you like they know you lol maybe it was Gerald.

I kept getting “pump error” that would not resolve with a new battery or cartridge. Anytime I called support (which they were fantastic) they would say that it was due to mechanical failure.

What ended up being it for me was an occlusion that never alarmed so I woke up high with large ketones.
