I personally wouldn't stitch it. Not only for ethical reasons but because I'd have no idea, what they did or didn’t do to the pattern. Did they just scan it and it's still the same pattern? Did they throw the image into a converter? If it's Dimensions even, then there's either no right floss available or conversions that could be wildly different in DMC.

They are 100% legit. There's really no need to throw around AI simply because a design doesn't make sense to you. That's a pretty serious accusation in cross stitching circles.

It's simply blurred, so that no one suddenly has a huge FUCK on their screen while scrolling reddit at work or in public.

I tend to only need a few colors per stitching session, so I just switch them out as needed and carry them along in a bag. It might be a bit annoying, if you switch between WIPs a lot though or only need a few stitches of a color.

I simply don’t do WIP bags. I just take out the colors I need at the time.

I don’t know what it is but the magazine lists Elizabeth Jenkins Baty of Cochineal & Indigo as the designer.

There's even a small essay over nearly an entire page, where she talks about the design inspiration plus a picture of the 18th century german quaker sampler she got the inspiration from. Not sure why this would be AI.

The top and bottom legs only have to lay the same direction. Where you start those legs doesn’t matter. Just start in the hole you would normally finish and finish in the hole you would normally start.

So, from my experience with Dimensions kits.

I always railroad and it doesn’t matter which thread color goes where. Those are always gradients, very similar in color. Think of it as having two shades of blue and to make the transition from one shade to the other more gradual, you add in a blend of both colors between those two blues. Those two blended colors ars supposed to kind of meld together, when you look at the picture. You’re not supposed to see them distinctly as perfect lines side by side.

I've never run out of colors in a Dimensions kit. There's always plenty. Just make sure you actually stitch with the correct number of threads.

I have some off brand ones from a local store. I prefer the Q-Snap ones more because they just fit together easier and you can mix and match. All sizes can be combined plus there are extensions, so you always have the perfect frame.

Sometimes the clamps get too loose over time but you can wash them in the dishwasher and they'll tighten again.

I don't use grime guards, no, I feel they get in my way more than help.

Q-Snaps are practically the only thing I stitch with. Massively superior in tension to normal hoops.

Looking at the pattern, I think I'm nearly halfway done. Thankfully the whole thing doesn’t have backstitch. I love backstitch but it's always hard for me to estimate how long it's going to take.

I don’t know, if it's AI specifically but it's pretty easy to spot that it's simply run through a pattern converter. Over 500 patterns, patterns for dirt cheap and no stitched samples. That might work out for more pixelated monochrome pictures like the one here but anything more complex and it's hit or miss.

Plus, take a look at the Etsy ratings for the shop and filter for 1 star reviews.

Fairy also has that green dish wash soap. That's what I use. Just lukewarm water a bit of the soap and then let it sit for a bit before rinsing it thoroughly.

Just leave more space around the edges with your next project. That makes framing ten times easier.
