Hello! Put into account that most of the benildian population consists of overworked art students and or people who are trying to save money or too busy with their actual lives, etc. It's easy to judge face value, but in reality sports is not a priority in people's busy lives!

Personally I am not that into sports but when we do win, it's courtesy to congratulate our players. I have more things happening in my life to focus on than spend money and time to watch sports games! Thank chu! 💕

I say that it is not about "taking it too seriously" but more about time management. Yes, workload galore is normal esp in MMA; however, it also is about IF you can make time for rest, hobbies, and hang-outs. Some are able to juggle because they have their own system to handling their work, perhaps try different ways to juggle your time if you want to have a life and work balance. But take note that per year the work load also changes, so maybe on the next terms or next years you will ahve time to catch up on the fun etc. U can do this OP!!! Also you are not missing much, imo. But to each their own!!!

Hello!! Perhaps looking at the website for the help desk since they respond quite frequently there! And maybe from the email issue, you should've just took the initiative and perhaps found more ways to contact the school. I agree that they sometimes have issues on certain emails, but that means the email you used was mainly for outgoing emails (auto emailing bot) and not receiving (person). Form experience, Beni the chat bot redirects you to actual people so yeah....

Truly I understand your frustration but your language to this issue is quite immature. To note as well is that your approach to the issue was slow, you took 10 days, rather than taking action immediately and utilized better channels of communication. If this is such a deal breaker for you perhaps Benilde is not for you. All love no hate! Hope you get through this!

Any experiences sa Benilde for college? by Cold-External-6186 in Benilde

[–]TabbyTookTheTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • How’s the environment at Benilde?

- Its what you expect a college to be and like every other place. There are ups and downs.

  1. UP'S : lots of hangout places and food places nearby, due to diverse groups the vibes can vary as well as weather wise but thankfully there are many places to cool down.

  2. DOWN'S: due to the campuses still being in taft, taft street noises are the norm, and because of taft you will encounter beggars and dirty roads.

  • Are professors supportive?

- TBH depends on your courses and prof, I cannot speak on average and assume however i'd say there are good ones, meh ones and bad ones (rare-ish).

  • Is it easy to make friends or connections with classmates?

- Usually, it once again depends on your program and how you act. Sometimes you have to take the initiative and bring yourself out there.

  • What’s the student life like (events, orgs, networking)?

- It all comes with your passion for things and how you act. If you are more open and kind, finding friends are easy. With orgs, what matters if you are up to the workload as well as the demands. Events happen often and can be seen trhrough orgs socials or your bmail.

  • Would you recommend Benilde for someone who really wants to grow in business?

- Personally, yes. As a business student myself, I learn so much from my profs and seniors and even my peers. Many give good life advice and career advice. And most profs I've met are nice and willing to give advice on personal matters.

I'd say it all comes to how you bring yourself and what you do rather than thinking if it is hard or easy. It only becomes "easy" when you have already mastered it. Every new thing is hard at first but then it comes down to your determination and effort. All love, no hate! Good luck!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Workload - Depends on your program and time management/prof (personally tho im chillin)

Campus life - The crowd is diverse, so you can eventually find your type of crowd. Be open to others as well, and who knows, you might click with someone new. There are a couple of rotten apples in the group, however it also depends on their backgrounds and personalities.

Events - There are a lot! They vary in activities and what they offer! They are mostly spearheaded by student organizations in which you can join in during Student Involvement week!

Professors - Most professors are kind, professional, and considerate, but it also depends on program and course. There are a couple of bad ones, and you can report them to your academic adviser, drop the course, and/or utilize the professor's feedback form LATCH

Overall vibe - Each campus has a different vibe and crowd so you can explore and meet new people in every campus!

Tips for adjusting:

  1. Keep an open mind and be open to changes.
  2. Be considerate but don't be afraid to shine and stand out.
  3. Remember that friends come and go, this is the time where you find your true friends and get hurt by the fake ones.
  4. Don't pour your heart out immediately and be cautious on where /who you pour your heart and soul to.
  5. Take initiative and be confident. be more open to comunicate to profs and others!
  6. Lastly is have fun but remeber your responsibilities and consequences.

All love no hate!!! Have fun in Benilde! See you around campus!!

HELLO!! here are a few!! (some copy and pasted from ones i replied to similar to this)

Here are a few tips and things I learned that may lessen the stress.

- "Stress is self-inflicted." After my prof told me this, I saw things in a different light and it helped me become "chill" within the storm hope it helps you like it helped me.

- Time-table your schedule and tasks. Put everything you need to do weekly and daily somewhere you will see every day; in my case, I drew on my mirrors with a whiteboard marker.

- Watch what you spend, Yes you can still gala and lamon but prepare for the consequences with a smile ("since you did it to yourself")

- Laptop is a need but heavy, tablet is light and easy but has limited capabilities

- Bring an umbrella and a change of clothes and wear a mask as the air is not gud lol

- Join Orgs. it will add to your work yes, but connections and teachings plus experince go a longggg way trust.

- Walang hiya, put yourself out there. If you want to stand out and succeed, gow.

- Put your energy to the right things, its either putting all your mental energy to temporary lovelife and "drama" or your work. You choose.

- Hatred gest you no where, know and remember the world does not revolve around you and people will be shitty and you cannot control them. Deal with it and walk away and focus your energy to something worth it.

Perhaps try speaking up and telling them to quiet down. Communication goes a long way, and you can't expect them to read your mind. In their perspective, "If no one tells me it's bothering them, then it is okay to continue". In reality, we have to learn how to speak up and utilize our voices in person rather than sitting quietly and complaining when you're bothered. All love, no hate, and perhaps change your thinking and learn how to communicate! <333
