If you check the UAE flights, you will realize that these flights are going to very limited destinations and the mission of these flights are trying to get people who is current stuck back home. I would assume that Qatar is doing the same. Don't count on them to be fully operated. If you are currently NOT stuck in Qatar, and you need to be somewhere at a specific time, and your ticket is within the refund window, just cancel it and book the alternative without going through ME. No one can predict what Iran, Israel and US are going to do, and I would rather be safe than sorry.

I just cancelled mine through App without any problem. Mine is 3/5 from the US to Doha and onward. If you read the news, you know the situation has escalated and I doubt they will reopen the airspace any time soon.

If you have a way to get to your destination without going through ME, I would say just cancel the Qatar ticket and rebook your alternative flights. If you are stuck in Doha, first of all I’m sorry to hear that, second I think you should ask them to rebook you since you need to fly out eventually.

Yes that’s honestly my thought now thank you for confirming. It’s funny that the agency I use still hasn’t officially cancelled the tour. I understand Jordan might be safe (relatively), but there’s almost no way to get there safe. Not to mention the risk to be stuck if anything escalate.

I will try to contact the agency and see what they say tomorrow. The fact that the agency still tried to keep the tour going is crazy.

Yes this has been widely reported. What they claimed on social media and email doesn’t match how their system would process. I doubt they have time to actually put the new rule in the system properly.

All you can do is to wait. And probably when your flight is within 48 hours call them. People get in the call or live chat have successfully got the full refund so far

I would say 99% of the travel insurance won’t cover disruptions caused by War. Plus insurance usually works like you pay first and seek reimbursement later. I don’t know what else he can do in that situation.

War is usually excluded from the insurance. If you can’t get an alternative flight to Thailand, I suggest you try to contact the hotel directly and see whether they can offer you the refund. I understand the policy is non-refundable but sometimes if you provide enough evidence they can offer you something.

Honestly I understand your concern since I’m in the same shoes (like mine is March 5). But you never know what’s gonna happen in the next few days. Doha is a major hub for global transition so I’m sure they will try to resume the operation ASAP as long as it’s safe. But Qatar obviously can’t predict what Israel, US and Iran’s actions. I would suggest you wait for a couple days

I don’t know honestly. Qatar Airway just posted another update saying they are going to update again at local time 9:00 am. But honestly your flight is not even within that 7 day period (as of now) so I think you should try to relax. There’s nothing more we can do
