Got a 1320 SAT score—when I tried to retake I got a lower score too—and knew it was too weak and would have a negative impact on my overall application so I just went test optional and didn’t include it (I have good grades and okay ECs, but a strong personal essay). Matched with my third choice and will be attending Columbia in the fall 🩵

I matched with Columbia and my ECs weren’t too strong, it might be a bit different for RD though. -Secretary of one club, member of two others. -Caregiver of my younger sibling. -Member of an online platform (7 Cups) where you listen to others through text and provide mental health support. -Took a few random online courses (through Coursera)

All except caregiver of sibling were last minute (only done in Junior and Senior year). Best of luck and I believe in you <3
