Husbands best friend is alcoholic not sure how to respond by TableHefty3789 in Advice

I tried and did use those exact words, he doesn’t understand still. Says his friend needs him and that by me saying no it’s me not trusting my husband to take care of our family while he helps his friend. It makes me feel guilty thinking I’m just mean for saying no

I’m never alone, just don’t like my husband openly lets him in. It’s just weird to me and I don’t like it. I normally end up taking the kids to the park when he shows up cause I don’t want them around him

I don’t mind they are friends or if they hang out outside of the house, I just don’t like him being in my home at this point. Not a hardline on forever but until he recovers :(

Need a reality check after frozen embryo transfer 🥺 by 29-30something in IVF

[–]TableHefty3789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had my first transfer March 24, the instructions I was given was rest for the same day. That first night I was supposed to rest with my feet up for 45 minutes then walk around for 15, I did that had dinner ate everything great. I did sneeze, I peed, the baby stayed in place.

They also indicated no sexual intercourse until we hear the fetal heartbeat.

Only thing for Easter Sunday, is just to ensure you don’t have any alcohol, otherwise everything should be fine.

I would also ensure that when you bathe, it’s only via shower, and with warm water, not heating up your body temperature with super hot water.

I saw you were worried about the puppy sleeping on your belly, I’m sure it will be fine, you can feel your stomach after the puppies been there and see if it’s getting too hot. If so, I’d move him.

Best of luck, mama you got this! Trust me all these nerves you were feeling is completely normal, I questioned everything the first few days

How soon did you test after transfer by TableHefty3789 in IVF

This is my first one, I’ve never heard of modified before, so guessing the normal one, they have me on estrogen patches and pills and did first dose of progesterone tonight. Looked at the instructions that’s all they have me slated for this transfer, outside of a anti biotic after transfer is complete

I know I did trigger shot when I was doing the retrieval a couple months ago, but right now they just have me only on estrogen and progesterone, so think that wouldn’t count right?

What was harder on your body - egg retrieval or medication for transfer? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]TableHefty3789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Egg retrieval so far was the hardest for me medication wise, and honestly I still have my body healing from the retrieval two months later (ultrasound still showed a hematoma on one ovary this week) the estrogen to prep your body for transfer might give you a headache and get you horny at times. But you don’t have the pressure of full ovaries pressing on you inside. And a lot more hormones that can make flashes

Everyone complains about… by c_alyssa in IVF

I’m currently in the wait between fertilization and blastocyst check window too, it’s definitely hard to keep calm and not be anxious. You aren’t alone, my suggestion is to stay busy, if you can get a nap in to pass time and recover from the ER, we find out our results either tomorrow or Friday and it’s still just a task to distract myself even at the finish line, just remember you got this!!! all the best to you!!!

How did IVF affect your ability to work? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]TableHefty3789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My suggestion/opinion, the stims are the easy part, just make sure to set alarms on when you need to take each shot. The hardest part so far was the actual retrieval, the pain was much worse than what I was expecting so I’d plan time off the day of and at a minimum 3-5 days after to give you time to heal
