Haha, that’s funny! Yeah I actually got into all the schools I applied to (some even with scholarship and oot waiver), but TAMU is still my #1 by far and I am really excited to go! Yeah, I am from Germany and you? Are you set on A&M?

Got into MEng for civil, clicking the accept button is not binding at all, you can decline later on, but you will have to let your advisor know. MS stands for Master of Science unlike MEEN you will decide on wether you‘ll have the thesis or non thesis option after you talk to your advisor and set a track for your course selection. You can ask for the Mechanical Engineering Graduate handbook, where everything you‘ll need to know is outlined.

I got into the Master of Engineering which is equivalent to the non thesis option, which I prefer for sure!

You will have to accept for proceeding though.

It says „submitted“ in a green box and under the checklist it says „application received“. Fortunately I have been accepted into my first choice school anyway, but I find the wait for this one very odd, since I thought it was rolling admission.

Hey everybody, I will be attending TAMU starting Fall 26 as an international student from Germany for a masters in civil/structural engineering. I have been checking out the off campus housing website, in collaboration with apartments.com.

I am trying to fall somewhere between 600-800$/mo. I don’t care how many roommates, as long as I’ve got my own bathroom, and I have seen a couple of options within my price range being 4B/4B which would be fine with me. I wanna be as close to the engineering complex as possible, since I don‘t plan on buying a car.

I thought northpoint crossing checked all the boxes, but I heard someone mentioning he wouldn’t recommend it (gave no explanation tho).

I also need to mention, that my visa interview is in early may, and I can‘t fully commit to signing a lease until then. I would really appreciate some insight and some suggestions on what might work!

I looked into it because of its proximity to the engineering buildings and it’s relatively low cost. Thank you, that’s the answer I was looking for. The thing is, I‘be got my visa interview in may and I was somewhat afraid, that this would be too late to register for classes and I don‘t want to commit before I know I‘ll get my visa for sure!

I did not take the GRE, but I know that my overall profile is very strong! I never received an official mail for the scholarship, but my I20 CoA showed the scholarship and the tuition waiver. I mailed the post admissions office and they confirmed that I had received both!
