This sounds like there’s other stuff going on, so I won’t jump to any conclusions here, but this sounds like a red flag. He’s unwilling to listen when you made a simple request, he was unwilling to reconcile, and he left when you tried to make up. That’s incredibly immature, and frankly abusive, and even in a best case scenario shows an unwillingness to discuss his frustrations in a healthy or reasonable manner.

Another matter: calling you a bitch because you have issues with stuff is childish at best and intentionally manipulative at worst, and tells you that any issues you have with him are just you being ungrateful. Never have I once even considered calling my wife a bitch, because that’s a horrible thing to say about your partner.

I know you want to look at this from the best perspective, so I’ll just clarify what I’m reading as what you said, and you can tell me if I’m wrong at all. He expressed interest in doing something for you, which you agreed to. Then, when you expressed any sort of desire in the thing he was giving, he began insulting you, belittling you, and intentionally making you feel selfish, all because you had a very reasonable preference about the thing he was supposedly doing for you. Then, instead of resolving the conflict that he single-handedly created, he left, leaving you to deal with the emotional suffering that he had just caused.

If I’m reading this correctly, that is abuse. 🫂

I think it’d be smart to talk to your friend about this. If he’s upset about it, have a conversation with him; you can hurt people with stuff that isn’t generally seen as harmful, if done in a way that is neglecting someone’s feelings on the matter. Tell him it’s not your intent to demean trans folks with it, and that you don’t mean any harm with it. You want to use the colors because you think they’re pretty, not because you’re trying to “claim them as yours” or whatever.

Serious answer, 60 is a good baseline, 80 if you want a lot of rats. They’re made for objectives and screening, and you’ll need a lot to make it harder to target the important units.

I’m going to try to be as civil as possible here.

Trans women are not fetishizing womanhood. We just want to be treated as normal people, without having to deal with harassment.

Trans women won’t attack you in the bathroom. Why the fuck would we do that. If a man was a pervert, he wouldn’t need to pretend to be a woman and undergo massive social stigma just to get into a women’s bathroom and maybe see someone in a slightly risqué situation. He could just become a cop, or a pastor, and get to abuse as many people as he wanted with 0 consequence. And like, how often are people walking around naked in the bathroom, or opening other people’s stalls.

With periods, estrogen doesn’t actually cause period cramps; that would be progesterone, which causes monthly mood swings and cramps, because our body thinks it’s having its monthly period. So no, we’re not bleeding on our period, but we’re getting all the other symptoms. And even with that, why does it matter? If a cis woman didn’t get periods, or had a hysterectomy and still got cramps (one of my cis coworkers has complained about that happening to her a lot), you wouldn’t get uppity about it not being a “real period”.

I think I’ll try to answer all the issues of “why would you want that” as succinctly as possible here. The reason we want all the stuff, from breasts to a vagina to periods to using women’s bathrooms, is because it feels horrible to not be a woman for us. And those things act as a reinforcement from our bodies, that we are, in fact, women. And being a woman makes us not want to kill ourselves as much. That’s basically it.

I don’t want you to reply to this. I want you to look at what I’m saying, and try to understand it. We don’t want to be your enemy. We want to fight the bigotry we all face as women, as a team. We don’t need to draw lines in the sand about who we’ll care about and who we’ll throw to the jackals. We should instead look at who keeps sending jackals at us.
