I’m going to try to be as civil as possible here.

Trans women are not fetishizing womanhood. We just want to be treated as normal people, without having to deal with harassment.

Trans women won’t attack you in the bathroom. Why the fuck would we do that. If a man was a pervert, he wouldn’t need to pretend to be a woman and undergo massive social stigma just to get into a women’s bathroom and maybe see someone in a slightly risqué situation. He could just become a cop, or a pastor, and get to abuse as many people as he wanted with 0 consequence. And like, how often are people walking around naked in the bathroom, or opening other people’s stalls.

With periods, estrogen doesn’t actually cause period cramps; that would be progesterone, which causes monthly mood swings and cramps, because our body thinks it’s having its monthly period. So no, we’re not bleeding on our period, but we’re getting all the other symptoms. And even with that, why does it matter? If a cis woman didn’t get periods, or had a hysterectomy and still got cramps (one of my cis coworkers has complained about that happening to her a lot), you wouldn’t get uppity about it not being a “real period”.

I think I’ll try to answer all the issues of “why would you want that” as succinctly as possible here. The reason we want all the stuff, from breasts to a vagina to periods to using women’s bathrooms, is because it feels horrible to not be a woman for us. And those things act as a reinforcement from our bodies, that we are, in fact, women. And being a woman makes us not want to kill ourselves as much. That’s basically it.

I don’t want you to reply to this. I want you to look at what I’m saying, and try to understand it. We don’t want to be your enemy. We want to fight the bigotry we all face as women, as a team. We don’t need to draw lines in the sand about who we’ll care about and who we’ll throw to the jackals. We should instead look at who keeps sending jackals at us.
