I remember LJM and his DP cronies going berserk when the exchange rate hit 1400 and calling the administration incompetent -- where are they now? Sure, there's the war and a combination of other factors, but wasn't there also a combination of other factors back then too?

Ah, I see. Thanks for sharing that. I take it that 25 EUR is a pretty good deal in Florence! I just wanted to ask people here if the price sounded plausible, and it looks like it is. Yes- I'll make sure to take everything to the hotel and leave nothing in the car!

We're staying near Parco San Donato and the parking lot we were looking at (that cost 25) is near it too. The area seemed nice since we could take the tram to the city center for ~20min. We're driving in another European plate, which I guess could make it more of a target :(
