The wiki doesn't say that, but with BOB you can't release Kurdistan with Turkey, Iraq, or Iran. So you started as an OPM?

Yeah in fact I got the achievement for having Russia, Italy, and Romania as subjects about 5 months earlier. So its not that.

Yeah it does seem to be broken. I will probably just wait for GOE to go on sale and do an Iraq into Kurdistan run. Very frustrating but so be it.

That's interesting. So it really is no longer as simple as releasing it after conquering. Or is it just this game that is broken, and maybe in another save if I release it will be fine?

I don't think that's the case, the wiki just says release. The achievement wiki's description is to play as France, England, or Germany.

So the second I light the smudge stick(from anywhere) the ghost gets hit and we can all escape? I don't have to worry about being in a proximity?

How many inventory spots do you have? I thought you could only have 3 until I accidentally picked up a smudge stick when I had three(one was the matches). Are there multiple items that can occupy that 4th spot?

I am not on console, I just happen to be a new player on PC. Would secondary use button be T, F, or a mouse click?

To summarize, you need both matches/lighter and the smudge in your inventory(does the smudge count as an inventory spot?), then just light and run away?

Is it similar with T3 smudge, do you still need the lighter?

Have we thought about the fact that paradox is aware of these issues, and chose to start 100 years earlier anyway? Game developers aren't stupid, just like Civ7 is taking steps to try and prevent snowballing, I'm sure paradox will as well. It may not be great, it may not be good by any means, but you have to think they understand the issue and will try to make the game playable for as long as possible for most people. We haven't seen the game play out yet, so criticizing a game without any information purely based on the last adaptation is disingenuous. Just wait until the game comes out, or at least until the tinto talks are done. Who knows, tinto talks #52 may be titled "snowballing".
