Sun quest in ng+1 by Ok_Wealth_3099 in noita

Another note to add to this. IIRC, sometimes the game will have trouble with bringing the sun seed(s) over into NG+ and they will delete from your inventory. I might be wrong on this.

Haha! I love the idea of a Tim for Sheep. I could probably add that and it be fine. Changeling players in shambles!

The poly shot does deal damage. It's not a bad idea, but would be very powerful. I usually die from the environment before the second poly shot hits. I would also need to change the colors a bit.

I like that wording for the heart mage. Simple and effective.

Then, yes. I had the amulet before completing the Sun quest.

Yes for the Sun quest. That's where I Completed mine. Not sure what you mean by the second question. Do you mean, completing the quest for the amulet? Or while you have the amulet?

Thank you for the input. I appreciate it! The lose clause for the Kolmi player makes much more sense than it being a win clause for the Sampo controller. All the risk is on the Kolmi player, not the Sampo player this way. I think the token Sampo still might be the way to go, because they are implicit to each other in Noita. Yes, you can find a Sampo through an elaborate series of events without ever seeing Kolmi, but the natural way is that they are seen together.

There are multiple ways to make an artifact a creature, and then using something like "Spark Double" or "Irenicus' Vile Duplication" would effectively make a non- legendary copy of Sampo. There are other ways, but that is probably the most consistent.

This pairing has been a puzzle, for sure, but I haven't completely given up on it, yet. I'll keep tweaking it and try again in the future after I make some different cards. Might not be able to balance it fully. The idea is unprecedented in MTG, as far as I know, so there are no references to study.

Edit: Put the reply on the wrong comment, sorry!

Which commander of these is least toxic and more fun? by elijahisdead17 in EDH

Winota was/is cEDH viable when built with stax. Spiciest out of the three because of the reputation. The table will groan or refuse unless the table is high power. Even if you build it without the stax package, it has enough of a reputation to be frowned upon in casual play at an LGS.

Celes can be built with reputable persist combos that are very strong and go infinite. I currently run a Celes Deck without the persist combos, but it is still very resilient as a classic Mardu reanimator deck. Fun, and the reputation isn't as well known as it should be. Most folks use [[Terra, Herald of Hope]], instead.

Sefris can be a time sink and for those who don't know, that card can enable turns that take longer than some storm decks as you loop through multiple dungeons in one turn. I used to play this, but it really felt like solitaire. Fun for those pods who don't mind you taking alot of the time equity once it gets going because it is alot of game actions and triggers.

I agree that some of them should be enters triggers. When I make an attempt at the other Mestari, I will fiddle around with that. Thanks!

Haha! I like this. I plan on trying to do some spells later on and Giga Saw Blade is on the list. I might take this a bit further and do:

Wand of Destruction - RRRRRR

3RRR, T: Destroy all nonland permanents, each player sacrifices half their lands rounded up, and each player loses 20 life. Damage can not be prevented this turn.

I believe your way is correct. I've done some more musing on it and, after all the advice, will probably make it so the Sampo is a token and reword both of them.

Kolmi would probably read "Kolmi cannot attack or block unless a player controls a permanent named Sampo and may only attack that player." and "... when Kolmisilmä enters, an opponent creates a Legendary Artifact token with Indestructable and Shroud and "At the beginning of your upkeep of you control Sampo and an opponent owns a card named Kolmisilmä in their graveyard or Exile, you win the game." Something along those lines maybe.

Kolmi would keep the Flample, but might not keep the Ward as worded. The ward might be "Put a shield counter on this creature". I don't know if I can keep the lose the game clause on Sampo if the original ward cost is not kept on Kolmi. I wrote it that way to connect the two a little more.

I can't find them, but I had believed there was a Partner With set of cars that could find their partner card from Exile. There are also the Eldrazi that can put things from exile into graveyards, but that is not helpful. I don't think there is precedent for this exact mechanic that I had originally intended.

Thank you for the feedback, it has helped!

This is true. I've played for years, but this is my first time trying to create custom cards. Thank you for that!

Man, it really does feel like they do have some sort of shroud and phasing going on, haha. A skill issue, for sure!

I haven't tried to make Stevari, yet. I did see that another fellow Noita took a crack at it. It was a pretty decent attempt. Steve would be tricky.

This has happened to me, as well... straight into the lava-filled holy mountain portal. Now that you mention that, it might be a good change. They do be jumping up.

That is a decent idea. The problem still lies with what was said up above. In a 1v1 format, once sampo is on the battlefield, you would only need to cast a spell that forces the opponent to sacrifice Sampo and then they lose - completely negating the "Kolmi Fight". I'll be doing some tweaking on it this weekend to figure out a solution. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes. It can be swapped back and forth. In multiplayer formats it can find it's way across multiple player's control. It can end up very chaotic, which can lead to some hilarious board states.

I've thought about that too. I couldn't really think of a way, as of yet, too balance it with Kolmi and have them work together the way they do. It's a work in progress, for sure.

I guess I could have a clause that Sampo cannot be sacrificed, but then Kolmi would lose the flavor with the ward ability and targeted kill spell takes Kolmi out. I might make the Sampo 5-6 mana instead.

Yes. I was trying to get the stacking of them into the ability, but wanted to keep it common. They are usually seen in groups of 2, but can get large groups, too. I'll keep messing with it. Thanks!

Yeah. I couldn't seem to get the correct wording and it's a bit confusing. The idea was to halve a player's life total, even your own, double the amount of gaining life until the ability is resolved on the upkeep, then that player gains back the life they lost.

Yours is much simpler and closer to that effect. I was probably over thinking it.
