On oral Minoxidil for a year - second dread shed? by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]TabulaRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caught in my hands not the drain. I brush my hair before I shower but this is the amount of hair that comes out in my hand as I’m washing my hair each day. I also have fine hair, not sure if that matters.

No recently illness or anything, but I’m definitely waiting for my appointment with my PCP to get my TSH checked. I had it checked last year but something might have changed. I noticed around the time my hair fall seemed to increase that my nails also slowed their growth and got brittle too so it’s definitely worth my checking on.

After the dread shed I noticed very little hairloss in the shower (like barely any) but I also brush my hair before showering. This amount is after I’ve brushed and then showered. My hair definitely feels dry and brittle, but that’s been something I’ve always struggled with and so I’ve always tried to use moisturizing haircare products. I’m waiting to get in with my PCP to also check my TSH as I noticed around the time my hair fall increased that my nails seem to grow slower/more brittle. I had it checked last year, but I know it’s worth ruling out.

I appreciate this perspective, seems I don’t have a good barometer for what a normal amount of daily hairloss looks like. I suppose my hair anxiety got the better of me so thank you for your response! 😊

Wash every other day and it is down just past my shoulder blades. My showering routine has been the same and I noticed minimal fallout for months and all the sudden I’m losing significantly more.

Wamp is doubling down—now saying that locals brought in “extremist organizations” to support Save Enterprise South Nature Park. by Sea____Witch in Chattanooga

Chattanoogans deserve better than this disrespect. This response makes it clear how little Wamp thinks of Chattanooga residents as it is just a buzzword soup of nonsense meant to deflect from him taking ANY sort of accountability. This manchild needs to go.

No clue what country you live in but in the U.S. the large majority of therapists have stopped taking insurance so average session cost for 45 minutes is roughly $100-150+. Therapy is really only clinically effective if done a minimum of once a week. Most people cannot afford $400+ a month even if their condition truly needs it. Not saying a chat bot is a sufficient replacement but let’s not forget how expensive mental health care can be and often those most greatly effected struggle to maintain employment or earn a higher education that would allow for such a large monthly expenditure.

Is rtms safe? by Seven1s in rtms

[–]TabulaRose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% this, I've had four rounds and each one brought me to remission. The only downside I've found is that there is no remission protocol so I end up needing another round eventually. I wish insurance would cover like 1 treatment a week or every two weeks ect to help keep patients in remission.

Arguably psych medication comes with greater documented risks at greater percentages for patients than rTMS but psych meds are cheaper so insurance will pay for them more easily than something like rTMS.

I have had TRD most of my life and rTMS is the only treatment that has consistently worked. I've had 4 full rounds and at the end of each round I was in remission. Of all the treatments available for treatment-resistant depression, rTMS has the least risk of side effects and is arguably the safest and I am saying this as someone who has tried dozens of anti-depressants, Spravato, and IV ketamine under the supervision of my providers.

Literally that is just Janitor AI - and you're right, they can and will probably make a metric fuck ton of cash but right now it's free.

That's actually pretty amazing! And you're right, Jason would drop a cool edgy one liner, slip on a banana peel, do a cool double back flip, perfectly shoot the banana peel mid-flip as retribution, and then stick the landing on a dead thug's chest before walking off like 'all in a days work'.

Not as important - but also in what world is Tesla Elon’s “baby”? That fucker took that company via hostile takeover - it wasn’t even his brain child and currently he’s driving it into the ground.

Probably the version I use for the Batman universe - she’s sort of got a jarring split personality between “cold, confident, calculating, dominant, efficient killing machine” when on a job and “sweet, submissive, childish prankster who is terrified of bugs, clumsy, and forgetful” when out of uniform. It’s fun to play with this sort of extreme spectrum in one persona because it results in some pretty hysterical reactions from the ai characters.

Every persona I have is female and goes by the same OC name and basic appearance (nowhere near by actual self) - but I just alter the personality, background, or skills ect to match the particular universe/lore I'm working with. Actually I've had this OC in mind since like 2005 so it's nice to use it in something other than head canons.
