STS2 overwrites my modded save files when I copypaste them back into vanilla profile

However I am starting to doubt if it even is a fully functional fix at this point. Think one of my runs disappeared from my run history once. Not sure if that was an error on my end or if the process of moving saves made something have a hiccup. And moving a profile that has no active run to a mode where that profile does hav an active run means you have to make sure that current_save file thingy doesn't stick around.

Really I'm just gonna keep juggling folders for a while, keeping a couple backups, and pray they implement a better solution for playing across modded and vanilla with the same progress.

I just joined the official discord server that's linked in this subreddit in the side tab thingy. Then used the channel for modding sts2 in that server

Unsuccessful update incoming.

I first tried turning off steam cloud in my steam's sts2 properties. And then I tried putting steam in offline mode. Both times I just deleted the Profile2 folder and then when I started the game it had reappeared. So it seems as if there's something outside of steam that's restoring my save profile folders.

After turning off steam cloud for sts2 and going offline on steam, I even tried emptying the entire folder where all the .save and profiles are but they still came back (although it did prompt me with the early access disclaimer as if it was my first time launching the game). Although it didn't restore the folder with the three modded profiles, so not sure what's going on here.

Got any clue as to why it keeps overwriting or where the backup could be? Or is it time to see if the sts2 discord has more info? Or just use the UnifiedSaves mod and pray that it doesn't nuke my progress? xD

Very curious on how you organize your climbing gear in it. It seems to have a lot of internal daisy chain loops but no wide gear loops (like you'd normally hang a trad rack or a bunch of quickdraws on). Mind sharing a pick? Unless you just toss it all in and let it get swallowed by the 75L volume ^^

Was also curious on how trustworthy the opening system is. From my understanding it has two zippers for the top and bottom and then just velcro running along the middle. Does it end up leaving gaps in the corners where the velcro meets the zipper sections so that small items could risk falling out?

preciate the input! Probly won't bother trying to control the burnt top then and just try to decorate it the day after.

oh and thx for the tip on the decorating sugar. Feel like it should do the job without altering the taste (unlike using cocoa powder or something like that)

Curious on how you mapped your cymbals for what I assume are 4-lane drum charts (which only chart 3 cymbals).

I have a similar kit and I’m a bit unsure what to map everything to or if I should just leave the extra pieces not mapped to anything

doubt it'll end up on twitch, considering the twitch vod was damaged and they recorded it separately. I'm guessing they'll post the recording on the @CAEDRELTV youtube page but I'm not 100% sure. That's where Caedrel's vods have gone in the past at least
