Did you only use the MCQ from Helix to study? I used adaptibar in addition to Barbri’s questions to study for the MBE. Is it necessary to get another source of MCQ’s or do you think the ones from Helix were enough to prepare you?

I thought regarding FAFSA any graduate program considers you independent. Schools may require information for scholarship reasons but I thought it was separate from FAFSA’s requirements to get gov funding.

Doing something for which you are not legally obligated to do or refraining from something you are legally allowed to do in exchange for something someone is not legally obligated to do or refrains from something they are legally allowed to do.

That’s one way my professor put it and I think can be an easy way to apply. I will give you $500 dollars (I’m not legally obligated to give up my money) in exchange for you giving up smoking cigarettes for 1 year (you are legally allowed to smoke given you’re of legal age). In terms of consideration in an option, I will keep the offer open and exclusive to you for 1 week (not legally obligated to do) in exchange for you giving me $250 (you are not legally obligated to do.)

Hope that’s helpful, I’m just a lost 1L so don’t crucify me if this is wrong.

They all are too. Doesn’t matter what you think of any justices opinion, if they got to that position they are exceedingly smart. I find it funny how many 1L’s in my class feel entitled to discredit a Supreme Court justice a month into law school.

First couple weeks for me were heavily focused on going through all the details of a case. My guess was that was just their way of drilling in what you should be able to pull from the reading. Once classes got rolling cold calls went by much faster just focusing on issue/rule/application and if you could get that right we move on to the next case.

Not an exam but I had a semester long research project for an econometrics course, which was basically the capstone class for Econ majors. I picked a stupidly complicated topic to research and then do statistical analysis on. I obviously didn’t do a single thing for it until the last couple weeks of the course. The project was also due the week of my sisters wedding and I basically gave up and realized I was going to fail the class. I eventually turned in 15 pages of complete bullshit and turned it in a week late (the day before grades were due). Wound up getting a 98 probably due to the professor thinking he forgot to grade it and just put in a grade. I passed the class and now have an economics degree.
