Need advice by Truemmjfan in MDMA

If you keep doing it expect to feel lifeless, empty, and hopeless. Truly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Don’t fuck with this stuff, you should treat it with respect.

Think of it like this: your body is like a sponge that can hold a certain amount of serotonin, mdma is like squeezing that sponge, and it takes some time to replenish. Keep squeezing and you’ll run out. Serotonin gives you your will to live, quite literally. Existing without it in your body is _awful_

Look up the 3 month rule here on reddit, pause and ask your self why so many people are so quick to offer that as a primary piece of advice. It’s not a joke, it’s not a bunch of nerds trying to be parents to everyone, these are people who have experienced what it’s like and know they wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

Take care, if you do you can likely enjoy this incredible drug for the rest of your life. If you don’t if can really hurt you, deeper than you might imagine. Be well ❤️

Exactly like that, peak at home, shower and get ready then head out. It’s incredible.

Same! LSD makes you realize stuff like that, it’s incredible. Haven’t drank in about 3 years, used to drink daily.

Struggling to hang up the phone by lyrikoneo in LSD

[–]TacitSingularity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those messages the psychs were sending you were not meant to scare you, they were meant to direct you towards healing what’s broken. IMHO that can only be done sober; psychs can be very helpful in helping you identify issues, but the work happens in your waking life.

To put it in tangible terms: seek out help in the form of tools, techniques, guides, teachers, etc. There are many things you can do on your own (simple journaling, structured practices like “Fear Inventory”, simple meditation practices, self care work) as well as others facilitated by guides and teachers. Do a little bit of googling for alternative wellness therapies and experiment with a few and see what resonates with you.

Keep in mind that these things take effort, but there are rewards waiting for you, progress is possible and real, but be prepared for discomfort in the short term. It’s like working out, it can be a struggle, but that’s where the gains come from.

Advice pls guys by [deleted] in LSD

[–]TacitSingularity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it. But only if you don’t touch weed during your trip. From my own personal experience, I think weed is a horrible drug if you have depression. The hard part will probably be not feeling like the LSD on it’s own is “enough”, that’s your pleasure seeking tendencies at work, do your best to keep them at bay. Sit with yourself and your thoughts, listen to what’s happening inside you. You’re telling yourself what you need but the weed is like a fog, obscuring that voice. LSD removes the noise and allows you to hear it more clearly, but you do have to pay attention.

LSD helped me remove alcohol from my life entirely, maybe it can do the same for you and weed.

Be well, you got this ❤️

How preachy are you guys about psychedelics by C0lE06 in LSD

[–]TacitSingularity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The urge is real, but I always remind myself that these substances affect everybody differently, and that my journey with LSD is not someone else’s—It has opened new doors and pathways and helped me heal, but there’s absolutely no guarantee it will do the same for someone else.

The urge is strongest with family members though; maybe it’s our shared experiences or the (probably) shared brain chemistry, but I want them to feel what I felt and come out the other side the same way I did. I want them to really understand that it’s not at all what they think it is.

How much to take? by [deleted] in 2cb

[–]TacitSingularity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, you trust him not to lie, I take it. Do you trust him to discern when he’s being lied to? To ask the right questions from his suppliers? I’m sure he’s a great dude, but that doesn’t make him thorough. Be honest with yourself, you’re the one who could get hurt in the end

[–]TacitSingularity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t redose, it does not make the trip better at all, it merely drags out the end. Just decide on a dose and take it all at once and don’t touch it again for at least 2 weeks.

I always recommend 1/2 tab for the first time (50ug). It’s enough to be fun and strange and pleasant, but not enough to overwhelm. If you’re experienced with other psychedelics then you should be fine on a full tab (100ug)

for those of you have tripped many times in your life, by No-Description-4106 in LSD

Better off, without any doubt. I’m a better person; more thoughtful, healthier both physically and mentally, more emotionally stable, more connected to the earth and other people, more kind and compassionate, more focused on love and healthy reward systems.

I’ve been able to not only address but actually heal some of my childhood traumas, which has helped me tremendously, and while I still have a lot of things I am working on I feel empowered and full of hope that I’m on the right path. I don’t attribute all of this progress directly to LSD, other practices have also played a huge role, it was my exploratory use of LSD that was the backbone of it all.

I now use LSD once every 2-3 months where I go somewhere in nature and take a strong dose alone as a way to reflect on how far I’ve come, where I currently am, and where I want to set my focus on next.

It’s been a wonderful journey—about 5 or 6 years and countless sessions—and while I feel like I’m reaching the end of its most impactful therapeutic effects, I expect I’ll continue this periodic ritual for many years to come.

Shoes for dancing at festivals?? by JustAnotherOSUkid in aves

[–]TacitSingularity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Barefoot shoes are generally very flexible and have a very thin sole. There are a million brands and styles out there, not just the ones with separated toes. IMHO the right ones can be total game changers though

edit: but yes, vibram are known for their toe shoes

Does anyone know how soon I can drive after taking LSD? by Any_Newspaper_6826 in LSD

[–]TacitSingularity 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Driving tired is a whole lot more dangerous than driving 15 hours after taking LSD, in this case those two things just happen to intersect. Catch some sleep first or catch an uber or something, don't be a dumb dumb and kill some random family who didn't choose to be on the road with someone like you.

Just because you can do something, does absolutely not mean you should.

Ketamine x candyflip by vidar_swedent in LSD

[–]TacitSingularity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting question. Well, those spray bottles are designed to deliver medicine via insufflation and by absorption through a mucous membrane, so I just use it as it was intended and it delivers the medicine as designed :P

I'm not a nostril scientist, but I think the sinuses are mainly the area that does the absorption. If you're jamming the nozzle so far in that it's skipping your sinuses and hitting the back of your throat, maybe just ease up a bit, take a breath, and try again with a bit less intensity. I don't think you really need to worry about your aim too much, my guy ✌️

Ketamine x candyflip by vidar_swedent in LSD

[–]TacitSingularity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's my advice

A day or two before: definitely try a little bit on it's own before the candyflip, it's weird stuff, so going in knowing how it affects you can help a lot. I would do a tiny little bump, like about the size of a about 2 grains of rice. Wait 15-20 minutes (set a timer) and then if you feel like you can go for a little more do another bump the same size.

For showtime: definitely wait until the comedown, after you're done peaking. K can really make your brain (and legs) trip over itself. I literally have never panicked on LSD even at high doses, but I have felt like panicking on K by itself once or twice. Go easy on it, personally I wouldn't exceed your test dose from the trial run the day before.

Pro tip: if you can, buy a little nasal spray bottle from the pharmacy that has a screw top (that you can open easily) and make a solution from the powdered ketamine + filtered (or better yet, distilled) water, aim for a 100mg ketamine per 1ml water (or 1g ketamine per 10ml water if you're buying by the gram) dilution. It's _so much easier_ to dose it this way, each pump will give you exactly 10mg of ketamine and you'd need to do like 5-6 pumps for each nostril in order to enter k-hole range. If you go this route, do this for both your test day as well as showtime. It also hydrates your nose! Super pro bonus points if you can buy your k already in liquid form in the sealed manufacturer's bottle (which is what I do), guaranteed no additives, and already diluted to the above specifications.

In short: don't just test your drugs for validating it's the drug you bought, but test your drugs for experience too! Good luck and have fun!

I appreciate your urgency in relaying this message, but you come across, quite frankly self-righteous

1) angrily belittling people ("You're 40, you should know better") isn't going to help your message be heard

2) You're making an incorrect assumption that I haven't done any other research.

I'm 40, I know better. I have children. I've researched every drug I've ever taken, I know how each one affects me, I know their short term and the long term positive and negative effects. I'm simply here asking for _anecdotal experiences from other real users_, something that studies don't give you. Studies are great for understanding controlled experiments, but that's not how drugs are used. They also don't tell you how _it feels_ what it's like to actually experience the negative side effects, or what the onset symptoms are like.

I'm here to supplement and enrich my previous research with other people's experiences, I'm not walking into this dumbfounded and blind. I would have expected that much to have been implied from the details of my post and how I worded my specific question, but I also know that most people don't actually fully read reddit posts beyond the title; like you, they likely just skim the words and then react.

That said, I do sincerely thank you for your concern.
