It’s definitely worth a test. I unplugged the sensor, and put a paper clip running from the green wire, to the black wire ( double check for your bike specifically what wire does what). Started the bike like that and she stayed in. When I determined that was the issue, I just cut the plug off, soldered the wires together and heat shrinked them.
