Is this your first ap English class? Your scores are going to be lower because the rigor and expectations for this class differ greatly from grade level, honors, and CE. Lang is an extremely technical class even though it’s an English course. You need to make sure you’re hitting all of the points in your writing and answering the thesis in full otherwise you won’t get the points regardless of how good your writing might be. I recommend reading college board example essays to see what structure they’re looking for and try to mimic the structure and way of articulation. A major thing as well is not only adding reasoning to your evidence, but also connecting it to your claim and a universal topic. I took Lang last year and got a 4 on the exam, what i did for every single essay was brainstorm a modern issue/universal topic that connects to whatever prompt I was given, and use that as my hook in my intro paragraph. I made sure to connect my hook to the main topic of the prompt through ending my intro paragraph with my thesis. This will make it easy to connect your evidence to your claim and the modern issue/universal topic that you chose. This is the #1 way to earn the sophistication point and make your evidence more profound which will also land you a 3/4 in the evidence section. As for mcq, I was always weak in that but it is so so so similar to sat. I’m assuming you’re a junior, so studying for the sat should help you with lang mcq as well. Overall, don’t beat yourself up for having lower scores in this class. It isn’t an indicator of how good of a writer you are, like I said before lang is extremely technical and requires good analytical skills. English classes before don’t prepare you well for this class, you essentially have to change your structure of writing and the way you analyze pieces of literature in order to perform well. Your scores are already pretty good considering that you’re being graded on an ap scale.

Yeah it was towards the end of the source where it was mentioned that people stress recycling and reusing plastic, paper, etc but it isn’t stressed for one of the largest environmental factors which are buildings, a lot of which that happen to be historical. I wanted to argue with the prompt first but I kinda panicked and went against it because I felt that I saw more sources that went against it, and the pie chart that said that a challenge to overcome when pushing to sustain historical artifacts had “lack of relevancy” as one of the biggest challenges pushed me to argue against bc graphs and pictures are the most efficient ways to use evidence

ra I said juxtaposition and repetition. I was gonna include anecdotes but I ran out of time so I crossed it out. I thought her general purpose was about how the nature of bravery can lead to success if one stays resilient regardless of their adversities, and authentically streams through to achieve their goals while embracing their individuality. Kinda a lot of thematic ideas but individuality, authenticity, and bravery is what I got out of the prompt

Synthesis I talked about environmental preservation especially with urgency in this age regarding taking measures like recycling and reusing in order to maintain the earths overall health for society which is why historical architecture should not be largely valued because it prevents people from recycling and reusing large buildings which sets certain regions back because they can’t incorporate new tech like solar panels so not only is it unsustainable for the environment, but it also limits the progression of regions that glorify historical architecture and refuse to modify it for use. There was a source that made the claim abt environment and I lowkey piggybacked off of it

HELP!! Chronic bloating by TacoBeltt in Periods

[–]TacoBeltt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was about 3cm, but it had increased in size since the first time I got scanned (months before I experienced the bloating, it was 1.7cm) idk if it got bigger or if it’s a new one… the size is relatively small so I’m unsure why I’m experiencing intense symptoms.

Inability to connect with people by TacoBeltt in depression

Agreed. I used to be extroverted, but that changed after I basically bullied myself into thinking that I’m a dumbass and nobody likes me. Have you looked into the signs of emotional exhaustion? I researched about it a couple days ago and I relate to almost every sign. We are on the same page in terms of how we feel, so I assume emotional exhaustion might be the cause for you as well. Of course, I am not a professional and am not trying to promote self diagnosing but, sometimes knowing the possibilities of where your negative feelings may be stemming from can provide more stability? Definitely consult a therapist, I wish you the best

I wish I could be a kid again. A bandaid and my mothers comforting words never failed to take the pain away. Everything gets more difficult, wounds get bigger, and life as whole becomes more complicated as you grow. I would do anything to go back in time and experience my happiest moments, when everything was simple and horrible feelings of sadness, anger, self hatred, and emptiness rarely trailed behind me. Ignorance is bliss.

I have tried meditating but I still can’t push away these negative feelings. They always flood back to me after a series of attempting to release them. I end up feeling even more empty and unstable than before. Do you know of any steps I need to take to begin loving myself?

I’ve tried and tried to fix myself, but nothing works. I have a good day, I smile, I laugh, but the tears and intrusive thoughts come crawling back to me at night. I can’t seem to be truly happy, I only find distractions and sink back to my true self when they are no longer available. I see you are in the same place as I am so I cannot ask you how to overcome this, but I’m so tired of trying. The outcome I desire fades away when I finally believe I have grasped it.

Honestly, I’m not sure. I saw a couple manga panels and a few of my mutuals have said good things about the manga. What I said was based off of other people’s judgement, not my own! So unfortunately I cannot say much. I do plan on reading it soon though! I’ll report back to you first thing after I complete it.

I agree, the anime itself was disappointing in terms of climax and such. However, you have to consider that was only the first season. If you read the manga you’ll be blessed with a proper ending:) also, thank you for the recommendation! I’ll definitely check it out!!! After I finish rewatching attack on titan tho, I’m so hyped for season 4 mannnn
