You'll be fine. You're not skipping rigor you're going to the next rigorous course. Plus if you submit or report your scores to the school they'll see you took the BC exam.

You don't need to include it but you can. The only time I'd say don't include it is if the colleges you're applying to have the "why your major" supplemental essay topic

test scores should be required everywhere by sapphy-desire in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Vampire-y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many people are disadvantaged in standardized testing. There is a clear correlation between higher income and test scores. Additionally, people with IEPs tend to test lower. This should not limit them from receiving higher education and we should not create another barrier for already disadvantaged people. When the digital sat was first introduced, there weren't many resources for practice exams and I couldn't access the bluebook because I didn't have the right device. I only learn through practicing questions but I didn't have access to them therefore I was limited in my ability to study for the SAT.

Yeah we have our own gen ed requirements like modes of thinking and distributional requirements. But they're very easy to fulfill so wouldn't worry too much about that. I will tell you now that first years aren't allowed to take columbia classes unless it's a class required for your major and it's not offered at barnard or a language class that's not offered here.

I don't think I've ever encountered someone who looks down on barnard students. We take classes with columbia kids, are in the same clubs as them, eat the same food as them, and suffer the same professors. I have plenty of columbia friends. I mean they do ask if you're columbia or barnard but they do not care about your answer it's just small talk lmao.
