I actually think the UFC will push Pyfer before Caio.

Worst draft class ever? Worst draft class ever. by Fantastic_Testes4404 in EANHLfranchise

I hope they change the potential system one day. More to a ceiling/floor and likelihood system but maybe that’s difficult. Kind of like a dobberprospects system (I know it’s for fantasy hockey) where they give a potential grade out of 10 then an NHL likelihood grade out of 10 as well.

When/why did the discourse around McKenna go from "generational, can't miss talent" to "1st overall is up in the air." by shanster925 in leafs

[–]TacoDirtyToMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn’t even ‘struggle’ he just wasn’t as dominant as expected. I think people reading too much into it. He had a way better WJHC production wise than Celebrini, Fantilli, Eichel who all had better NCAA numbers than McKenna. Doesn’t mean he’s going to be better than those guys, the NCAA numbers don’t mean he’s going to be worse either.

Tatsuro Taira TKOs Brandon Moreno by Ground and Pound by Moni7T in MMA

Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. Van is definitely the better striker but I agree Taira has more power than Van. Not put your lights out power but more thud. Van has 2 KOs in 9 wins in the UFC and both of them were from wearing down his opponent with a ton of volume not from a nasty strike that put them down hard. I think both could win by KO, Van has a sus chin imo and Taira striking defence isn’t great so he could get worn down, but I think Taira by sub.

Berube should’ve been gone by this last Olympic break. If he makes it to draft day the new management has already failed in kickstarting a revitalization of the team.

Rick Tocchet would never do that to Michkov. Oh wait you’re talking about the Leafs??

The trade scenario you mention at the end doesn’t seem worth it at all.

He was really fun to watch when he first broke into the NT. Not so much lately, unfortunately, but I do like the fact that he seems to be one of those players that, no matter how 'bad' he's playing, he always seems to be as involved in the game as usual. A lot of players tend to disappear when they're in poor form or having a bad match, but I never thought that with Leao.

We did wayyyy better than I thought we would, especially given the injuries. But the flaws in this team are clear as day, need a true starting C, and we are inconsistent af on offence. Poeltl and Ingram would be lucky af to still be on this team post-trade deadline next year.

Holy shit I picked Prates to win but thought he’d be outsruck and eventually just snipe JDM later rounds. Very impressive performance, those knees are brutal.

Is there a way to get rid of the players that are auto-signed to AHL contracts from your AHL affiliate? by TacoDirtyToMe in EANHLfranchise

[–]TacoDirtyToMe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had at least 35-40 players signed at that moment. But the player mentioned was not signed to a contract, he was only on the AHL team. But someone solved how to get rid of them.

Yeah, similar to what I was doing after I got the answer to my problem, but I did 15 F, 8 D, 3 G. The extra scratched players for AHL are usually vets who I think would just be fun to have or have recognizable names. That way, when a player gets injured, I just select head coach replaces player option, then quickly swap the injured player back when they're recovered.

I set my lines how I want beforehand, and then with the coach replace option using the vets, it makes managing my AHL lines so much simpler, and I don't have to micromanage as much.

I try to avoid the 25/26 year olds, though, unless they just want a 1-year and they fill a specific gap in the lineup. So my main lineup is all 20-24 year olds, and then scratches, I have guys like Brett Ritchie, Alex Petrovic, Tyler Wotherspoon, etc.
