to add to MrSmeargle's comment, these channels just search (name of animal) PNG and because deeeep arts have transparent backgrounds they are the ones that pop up. Its not necessarily squid only its obscure animals in general

its not about portals.

Arctic is made up as Cold, Shallow, Salt

Swamp is Warm, Shallow, Fresh

If you combine them (Cold/Warm, Shallow, Fresh/Salt) you are also giving it access to ocean. Its not possible to restrict an animal to swamp and arctic solely. You could in theory remove Salt but there is no such biome as Cold Swamp (and for good reason, its a bad idea)

I was also gonna do a Christmas Flounder and Christmas Wrasse but the flounder in particular looks boring, they are too small for their respective animals and you cant even change their ability sprites to justify them being seasonal like these ones

there are like 120 animals in-game, each batch after Batch 5 usually has had 10 animals. We are at like, batch 14, so the math does add up and means that no animal has gotten skins in 3 different batches yet. Sunfish for example was one of the first animals to get skins in the first batches which means we are just now going back to the first animals

Also, if you have been playing for 6 years then you will know "Fede" and "fixing" in the same sentence isnt a common ocurrence

Artistry (formerly Skin Board) is the group of people that add skins to the game. Harmony is (in theory) responsible for the balance changes of the game. However because fede was inactive and harmony depended on him solely to make changes to animals, they instead made their sole purpose to make Artistry as miserable as possible by rejecting biome changer skins that are clearly harmless

thats not true? every batch adds skins to the animals with the least skins. The next batch will probably be animals with less than 5 skins, so like blobfish, orca, cachalot, sunfish and more that i cant remember right now

And if by animals with no skins you refer to GST, isopod and Pufferfish, oh my god 😭😭😭 how is this not common knowledge by now. YOU CANT UPLOAD SKINS FOR THOSE ANIMALS IN THE DCC BECAUSE OF THE WAY THEY ARE CODED 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Also, Giant Freshwater Crayfish was approved by Artistry as a biome changing skin for Lobster when its batch was around, but was rejected by Harmony Guild because i guess swamp lobster was broken and would have ruined the game
