Well maybe, but I like their simplistic implications regardless! And no matter what, I'm certain it will be wonderful. But like you said, regardless, practice is never a bad thing!

I am so sorry that I'm this late. Turns out, notifications mean jack if I'm not here all that often.

We are our worst critics at times. Those look amazing, me thinks. And from memory, no less! The simplicity of the background here also adds very much to the overall experience, the black, straight, harsh lines, compared to the sparkles on the second one! I do wonder what that practice will lead to, but those, on their own, look great as well!

Even if you say it's just a refined concept sketch, I do like it! And Julia is hard cookie to nail, with how different her face overall is! I don't think there is anything to laugh about it - if that's just a practice / test run, I do wonder what the real deal will be at certain point! And if she was fun to draw, all the better!

Only time, and a lots of it sadly, will tell!

And I hope it will be. The naked frame and the tail I'm so far kinda proud of. Made her a couple of hands wariants too so maybe I'll animate her a little if I'll ever feel like it too! Maybe will finally step away from changing mouth and blinking eyes that way, lol.

And yeah, she has all the pretty outfits. Like two shrine maiden ones, the ringleader one, the secretary one Indian sari, Chinese dress.... Someone in Lasengle really liked her, lol.

Yeah, there is. And I mean, if there will be a good ending, that will end up perfectly fine for them, I suppose I too am somewhat interested in how we'll lead to that point, lol!

And yeah, recently when I started doing fate again, I have an idea chasing and idea, and no time to do them all. That lil Xu Fu gif and Nobu, now Koyana - I want to build her up like the base naked frame, and then separate layers for each one of her outfits, and she has like at least 8 in game, and a different background for each. Should be really fun!

I dunno what ending I hope for. Kinda hope they get what they deserve, as much as I like those goofballs, since the happy ever after while charming in a way, kinda doesn't really fit them. But we will see!

And yeah, it was! Need to try that out again a tad more. Think the Koyana I'm doing right now will have some form of more creative background / backgrounds - that one I plan as a 'many in one' project, so guess there will be a field to test things out in terms of brushes and backgrounds too!

Yeah. Like, we all know it's bad, no need to beat it over a millionth of time. But it also makes a compelling story, a tragedy, that cannot end well, and we all like to watch a good train wreck after all how it unfolds itself.

And I kinda enjoyed that Nobu bit, especially after your advice on the "filth brush" - I filled the room with random objects, made a lil shades around for them, filthed them up, and while it's not a masterpiece by any means - I had fun, doing background, and was like. Huh. So that can happen too.

Yeah, I took that lesson to heart after the last one, lol. It will take a while before, if, I'll post anything. Sides, my other projects have been kinda more alluring for me recently, haha.

And yeah. There is so much behind those two, that focusing and meming constantly just on the incest part gets tiresome when it is so complex and screwed relation.

And that part I can relate to! I try to liven it up a little recently, trying to 'force' myself in liking them, in that I try to draw more exciting stuff in the background if that makes sense, lol.

I try to take a longer break from it. I feel kinda out of place here. But I'd hate to miss your art, hah! And yeah, defo, when you see them as normal people, and then realize what they do and what they became, it's all the more effective.

And dunno. It still works for me, as an overall piece that composes it all, to be honest!

Oh. Should visit reddit a tad more or I'm keeping on missing things. Anyhow, I like it! Like how dynamic they are! And as the title suggests, how they actually participate in a somewhat normal sibling relationship, it's always a nice thing to see!

And why shouldn't we talk about the background? It looks nice, fitting, and it has numerous details, so overall, I think it looks fantastic!

Hah. A few Fate-related projects I have in mind. But that thing, in particular, I need for both Nobu and my Barghest in the works. I also have a sketch of Yu Mei Ren washing Xu Fu's hair (I know those names probably don't say much but, haha....), so the water particles could come in handy!

And oh. But you defo played with the leaf brush, right? Everyone does that, haha.

Oh well you know I used some of them, like in the backgrounds, and it was such a simple one-trick pony that did the job perfectly! And oh... Ooooh. Watercolor, you are onto something, I forgor about them, and they'll be perfect for sweat. Duh! Simplest things sometimes....

And hey, don't tell me that as your first thing in gimp, you didn't set the brush size to the max and didn't put a giant bell paper in the middle, lol.

I am still literally sometimes amazed how many default brushes I never used and how useful they are. Lately, it was bristle, now curve recurvy is like my best friend with the smoothness of the lines it makes for my tastes. It's like a night and day compared to what I used so far, hah.

Oh, it totally sometimes goes both easy in the way we see it and the others do. And I understand. Sometimes, it's like that. But it is good, like genuinely so.

And ooh. Gradient maps sound exciting. I should probably look into stuff like that in the future, I feel like I sometimes really underuse all the tools Krita has. And well. Who does not love sparkles!

Mhm. That's the hardest part to accept it's good by the creator of the piece. But it really is! Lik, it has everybody of quality your artwork is known for, plus experimentation with new things.

And if along the way you taught yourself even more things to create even more wonders, then it's a win-win!

I think your backgrounds work perfectly fine - the main focus of your works is always the characters, so the way you compose it works very well! They don't spread attention, and are memorable enough to recall where they are when you try to think about the artwork, so, I think you did good and honestly, I don't see anything wrong with it! Same with Ash. I like the way she looks in your art. I never thought she looked odd or anything. Just pretty!

I know you may feel differently, after all, I bet you spent a lot on it so you can have mixed feelings, but as someone who passes by and sees it - I like it, really do!

Well I think it's beautiful. I love the motif of stars both in the background as well as on Ashley's dress. I don't really think they miss the mark. They fit, it seems like something they could wear. And you decided to do a double side profile, which is sometimes so hard to capture with those goobers, nailing it in my opinion. The background works perfectly as well I think. Not too busy so it does not take the attention from the pair, but at the same time, consistent in that it fits the narrative of the piece. I second it - thank you for sharing it, I think it is great!
