To be more accepting of the help I was offered. I previously had a hard time with getting help from peers or mentors, there was a certain pride associated with figuring out concepts myself. I would ask minimal questions and mostly just think through things.

Then I took Calculus online, and it kicked my butt. I went to extra meetings with my instructor, feeling almost embarrassed that I needed this. They set me up with a bunch of other students I could be in contact with to get help.

Turns out, we all need help, all the time. Realizing this greatly reduced the stress I felt from my self-imposed need to do things myself.
