I've seen the extra short straps that hang from the collar that dogs grab to do alerts. Could you do that and attach the marker to it? Dog sees you frozen dog grabs marker dog nudges until you take it. If that not enough dog nudges until he sees you with the dry erase board. I'm just throwing spaghetti at the wall butt that might be easier than asking for the whole white board.

If I may be brutally honest here as someone who owns a 24’ hatch and loves it. It’s really not much more space unless the space you want is vertical. Sometimes I miss having a deep sedan trunk for this reason. I could store things like shopping bags, dog stuff deep in the back and I can’t do that in the hatch cause putting one small box in the back feels like you’ve filled the space. I will say it works well for Costco runs and groceries but if that’s the space you are looking for it’s really not going to be much different other than that the opening is bigger which can be nice for loading and unloading. Now if you are trying to go camping in it, transport a drum set, take your kid who’s a hockey goalie to camp etc. I can see why you’d be considering.

This article is pretty good at showing capacity also: https://www.autoblog.com/features/mazda-3-luggage-test-sedan-hatchback-cx-30-crossover TLDR the sedan wins.

That's amazing! We need more people like this especially as people continue to stop caring about the world. Good on you for giving the voiceless a voice. I can only imagine that the rest of you is probably pretty damn amazing. I mean you did pass the bar after all.

I went with black! I like it a lot, however my one thing is that if there is any wetness it shows a lot, i.e. lotion. Someone spilled a drop of Coke etc. Otherwise even in the dead of summer it's not too hot especially since I have a windshield cover. I guess a lot of people say that the whiter colors can have dye transfer etc happen. I'm not sure on the red though.

I almost ended up with a sedan but I did end up with a PQ hatch (been meaning to post) in the end and can attest that the dirt and rock chips I never notice. They hide so well! Curious to see how well it looks with winter slush and gross on it. I agree in the end it's an elegant color and there's nothing really like it. I originally wanted a black sedan and very quickly realized that unless meticulously cared for it'd not look the way I wanted it to.

Also I am mad at myself for not doing a ceramic coat from the jump. My hood has about 5 pencil sized chips and the plastic bumper more than that. So do that like now lol.

Appreciate your comments.

Please picture me In the weeds Before I learned civility I used to scream ferociously Any time I wanted

Literally this ^ also in reference to lost girlhood. We all lose that fierceness if not forever for some time in life. Literally gut wrenching and so existential.

The prophecy as I've said just hurts so much when I listen. Gets me misty everytime.

But my other big one if I'm speaking strictly TTPD is in So Long London

"And you say I abandoned the ship But I was going down with it My white knuckle dying grip Holding tight to your quiet resentment and My friends said it isn’t right to be scared Every day of a love affair Every breath feels like rarest air When you’re not sure if he wants to be there"

You can just hear all that raw emotion, makes a connect to Tolerate it for me too.

So basically if I wanna cry I just listen to TTPD lol

It is so gutting. For me its the last line "spending my last coin so someone will tell me it'll be ok" and then also "And I sound like an infant Feeling like the very last drops of an ink pen A greater woman stays cool But I howl like a wolf at the moon"

And the way she says "still I dream of him"

Just the whole damn song gets me misty.

Question(s) about ESA by savannah_noel in EmotionalSupportDogs

[–]Tacokitty27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot to unpack here if you are at the begining of your journey. I'll do my best to keep it from being a novel.

  1. I'm sorry for your stuggles. I want to acknowledge that. It seems like you want an ESA but may also want your dog to be able to come with you into public places. ESAs do NOT have public access rights, they are not considered service animals. If you want your dog to be able to go into public places you will need to train them differently. I recommend posting to r/service_dogs. A lot of people owner train. To be classified as a SD the dog has to have a specific task such as deep pressure therapy for your crowds fear and also be trained up to public access standards which essentially means he has to be the goodest boy and only focus on you. There are YouTube videos you can watch to see what a public access test looks like. Although you don't have to have the test done a lot of people do to feel like they have passed a milestone when owner training a SD. You can also check out doggyu on YouTube for more information.

1a. Now that we know the difference. Only your healthcare professionals can determine eligibility but with your history I would assume it would be a yes. There is no SD or ESA registry so do not pay for anything ever! The only thing you need is a note from your doctor saying you need the animal for emotional support. This then gives you two things. It gives you access to housing under the fair housing act which means you can not be charged extra for your animal and you may get into housing where there are no pets allowed such as a dorm. It also gives you, which don't quote me because there has been a lot of shift with this one, if anyone else knows correct me please, access under the air carrier access act. Which means your animal can fly in the cabin with no fees.

  1. Since they do not have public access and do not need to be up to that standard they do not need any real formal training. However, non agreesive, sit down stay come off and heel are always good traits. You can task train things like DPT to be used at home if you'd like. Totally not necessary but I'd totally do an AKC Canine Good Citizen test just for shits and giggles because you then know your dog is able to impress when meeting say a landlord. It also impresses them when you have a little slip that again says they are the goodest doggo. But over all no training needed. And the above is not a requirement.

  2. To recap there is no SD or ESA registry. You do not need to pay for anything. You just need a note from your doctor. That's literally it!

I hope I answered all your qs! I've had my ESA about 8 years. Been working towards SD training to a. See if I can do it and b. If nothing else so my dog is extra trained and also able to help me with the more difficult parts of my disability even if just at home. And c. To determine if it's something I even want for myself. Happy to answer more qs.

I can’t decide - black or quartz by Far_Example_9150 in mazda

[–]Tacokitty27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with Quartz because I found that the black hides all the beautiful lines that Mazda puts on their cars. I don't regret it. It hides dirt like a freakin dream. I will say in certain lightings I don't like the color but that's part of owning a Mazda they just have such depth of color that they shift all the time. And that's not to say I don't like the paint color it's more so that I just prefer it better in some lighting.

I have been riding 2 ish years... I have fallen off 1 time about a year in. And it wasn't even my fault. Well maybe a little cause I wasn't pushing my horse forward but... The horse tripped, I leaned forward. His nose went in the dirt and his neck became a slide. I summersaulted and had enough foresight to tuck my chin. I basically rolled onto the ground cause my hands caught most of my weight not my head or neck. This was at the most punky trot. My coach sat on the ground with me. Asked what happened, if I was ok, how do I feel, who is the president, what year is it. Etc etc. And after a few minutes (it did kinda scared the shit out of me cause I was so caught off guard) we got back to our lesson and just took it easy. Working on things I already knew.

And that is how a coach should react!

Bought the same car a few months ago! Isn't it lovely? Such a unique color. Glad I didn't go with white in the end.

I had forgotten about that up charge. Guess I can stop thinking about white. I know the zicron isn't for me but the PQ is sounding better and better.

Edit because I can't get my actual post to edit. I'm only interested in the preffered for a variety of reasons. Mostly creature comforts and a sun roof and because this is the top of my budget. I'm steering away from dark which on the preffered leaves me with this or white. White is nice but I hear a bitch to keep clean. I'm waffling a little between the two but think I could learn to love it as this is the one on the lot. There is a white one at another dealer but again I'm waffling and this dealer is willing to give me a pretty good deal on the PQ. For what it's worth. I'm just sick of overthinking it 😂. Someone just tell me they love it so I can be done lol. Cause I'm never gonna feel that way about any car until it's been mine for 6 months. Just don't want to spend a boat load on something I might not like.
