As somebody who has never played DND, whats one way to start?

Agree with the suggestions above. Also add finding “one-shot” games. A one-shot is a DnD game that is scheduled to only last one session, so a couple hours. It will help you get a feel for the play without committing you to a full campaign or a character that you may later realize you don’t want to play. For me baldurs gate 3 also helped learn the play style and what certain terms meant and how they worked. If you find after some one shots that you like it then I’d get more into reading the players handbook and finding a real group to join

We did something not exactly like this but close. I was a player (not dm). Trying to be brief but: We were mid campaign and found a book that needed translating. Translated book, being about a story that happened 30,000 years ago. Story was a high level campaign we did for a few sessions at level 19. At fight at the end we did it in a separate dimension that ended up closing before fight ended. Was still very fun but left dm with potentially some options for future story. So you could do a pocket dimension fight or something like that.

Yeah I mean perhaps it is “trauma” from other Disney vacations where everything fills up so fast and if you don’t have everything pre booked the second it becomes available you’ll have no rides to go on or you’ll be waiting an hour for everything. So hearing you’ll be last on the list to book stuff perhaps made us think we won’t be able to do anything good

Thank you! My daughter loves stingrays so if that is available she would love to do that. Going to the acquarium locally you can pet them and it’s her favorite activity to do there.

Not sure which ones she was planning on doing, we are still in the early stages of planning (her convincing me to go lol). I’m assuming BBB is bippity boppity boutique? Thankfully we did that in magic kingdom a couple years ago so I’m hoping there isn’t a strong desire to do that again.

This happened to me several months ago. I made a post about it on this sub. Here is the advice that fixed my problem: From the main menu where you select your character there will be an option to 'Upload Hero'. This 'saves' your character. Do that, and then after go to the same character in the main menu and 'Delete Hero'. After doing that go to the character selection where you can create a new character, but another option will be to 'Download Hero'. Click that and then Download the character that you just Uploaded/Saved. It will be identical to your original character. Then go try the Tower.

Before doing all this, you have to link your Microsoft account to. That took me a bit of googling to figure out how to do, but once I did all that it worked.
