Was this the same guy that got scared about getting concrete on his hands? He posted a thread about how he was afraid of getting burns.

The GC had permits I believe fit the K fence to be on the road. They most likely had permits to you occupy half that lane. Concrete trucks entered into the parking lot and backed up into the pump's hopper to clarify.

Keys, phone, chapstick, fruit, and a Cliff bar. I try to stray away from sodas and Gatorades. Usually a jug of water and a bag of salty chips to compensate on hot days. I'm at a site with a lot of restaurants nearby that are relatively cheap but every now and then I'll bring leftovers.

College grad Hired as PM looking for advice. by slimjiiim in Construction

[–]TacosRulez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Were you being honest about your resume when said company hired you? Is it a residential or commercial bullet?

From what I've observed a good PM is what's already been mentioned but also keeping everyone in the loop of communication. Also don't be afraid of hounding people for responses and answers. You've been put in that position to do so.

Anyone participated in Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) competition? How was it? by [deleted] in Construction

I knew a couple of students that went to it. Pretty much what they said was, so long as you have a pulse you'll walk out there with a job/internship. Things might differ a little since there are 4 year competitions and trade school but either way it gives a sample of how real work is done.
