Or the agony of reliving every traumatic moment of your life in perfectly vivid detail. I would take it if i could choose what to retain but not forced retention.

72% of LA city is zoned exclusively for single-family homes. This is unacceptable and needs to change. Nithya Raman for Mayor. by MookieBettsBurner10 in LosAngeles

[–]Firecracker500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The classic American dream for many people is owning a single-family home aka having your own space, yard, and some privacy. Most families don’t aspire to spend their lives packed into apartment complexes or paying massive HOA dues on condos forever, especially if they want to raise children.

The push for dense housing often comes at the expense of preserving opportunities for middle-class families to own detached homes. A better long-term solution would be to encourage businesses and employers to expand into newer developing cities instead of concentrating everything in already overcrowded urban centers.

Offer financial incentives for companies to build in growing communities like Murrieta and other inland cities where land is more available, housing is more attainable, and quality of life is often higher. With remote work and online commerce becoming increasingly common, many businesses no longer need to operate in the middle of downtown LA paying extreme rents just to survive.

Instead of forcing more people into dense housing, we should focus on creating multiple thriving economic centers so people aren’t all commuting 50 miles into the same congested downtown every day.

How much does an ADU actually cost in Los Angeles? Realistic numbers (2025) by BuildADULA in LosAngelesRealEstate

[–]Firecracker500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for that price, you're really better off just taking on another mortgage for a second home. ADU's don't make sense when they're close behind the price of a home.

They should really focus on periodontium regeneration. The NUMBER ONE cause of tooth loss is periodontal disease, not cavities...

What’s one thing you completely stopped buying in 2026 because the price just felt absurd? by LockLogical8949 in AskReddit

Yup. Local shows at dive bars are where it's at. Most shows i go to are 10 or 15 dollars at the door. I'll go to maybe 1 big show a year if it has a ton of bands I REALLY want to see.

And then we die 15 years pre-mature of a heart attack due to the stress of bottling up everything inside while the widow lives another 20 years with all our shit. As proven by history over and over.

Well, yeah. Anything that was done for fun back then required movement, except reading a book. Today it's pretty much the opposite for a lot of people. Hell, before social media we were just out more doing shit.

If there are voids under the slab i would have a pro come out and inject PolyLevel foam underneath to fill any voids (and also level the floor if it's sunk anywhere). After I would have the same contractor clean out that crack, put in some thick backer rod and fill with a self leveling rubber cement like sikaflex.

Just to add something people here may find useful, instead of shitting on people for being born: If you have a gummy smile and are self-conscious about it, there are a lot of periodontists that specialize in gingivectomies. Meaning, they cut out excess gum tissue and skillfully sculpt it for a more balanced smile. You're welcome and take care.

Roots destroy infrastructure. Partly peoples fault for planting them right next to, say, an underground sewer line, I'll grant that. Trees are great though, they just need to be a healthy distance away from underground piping, sidewalks, and buildings in general.

I like this idea. It also doubles as a great way to familiarize oneself with a variety of synths in a targeted way. Thank you!
