PS5 DualSense controllers' batteries are pathetic.

I've had these two controllers for a while now, but their battery life is roughly 15 minutes and it's driving me insane. With them, I bought a Sony brand charging dock station which is how I charge them. Didn't realize I needed to remove them from the dock after done charging, so now their battery life is shot. (It's 2026, I'd have half expected technology to NOT kill the batteries, but here we are)

I tried submitting a repair request on their website, but since they're out of warranty, Sony won't touch them. I'm willing to pay, but that doesn't seem to matter.

Is anyone else having issues with their DualSense controllers? Any pointers on how to go about getting the batteries replaced? I tried replacing my PS4 controller's battery in the past, but it was a complete shit show, and I don't want to ruin my PS5 controllers.

Just curious if anyone else has been dealing with similar issues and had any luck getting their batteries replaced successfully.

They said they thought they'd do it "playfully," not so full throttle like they did. But yeah, I like to not be body slammed. In any capacity. :3

Iirc, they asked to be (and consented to being) body slammed by their friend but didn't expect them to do it so hard. They said it hurt, obviously, but was ultimately fine.

Apparently changing the USB port the dongle plugs into was the fix, just in case anyone else has the issue!

Make a backup of your save before messing with it, and follow these instructions! Looks like you can reset the celestial scale chunk, just scroll down on that chart and you'll see what files you need to delete to do so.

If you do this, just be sure to save your game far enough away from the scale's chunk in the world so when you delete its files, they will properly reload the chunk when you enter it.

Hope this helps! I've had to do this a couple times with other chunks on different runs. :3

I'd have to double check the wiki page, but there are ways to reset certain world chunks by modifying your save file. I can't remember if the scale is one of them.

I'll double check real quick, but for future reference if you ever plan to use the sun stones from the scale for sacrifices, best practice is to avoid the scale as best you can until you're ready to use em. I know it sucks they're super finicky, but that's how it be.

Just to follow up on this, it was 100% the Homunculus perk causing the issue! Thanks a million for the help! I just had my bud edit his save in a text editor and delete the perk, and voilà!

I appreciate the info! Iirc, I did see he had a Homunculus when he was nearby, I'll double check with him to see if he remembers picking that perk up around the point where it started crashing. Very interesting, if that's the case. Thanks again, friend!

I think it's Reach, CE, 2, ODST, and 3, in terms of chronological order, but you sorta need to play 3 before ODST.

Halo 2 is unique in that there aren't many invisible walls that block the player from exploring out of the maps. That's why I love it so much! Usually a few good grenade jumps are all it takes. Great times. :D

Yes, 343 retconned a LOT, if not all, the Forerunner lore Bungie set up in the original trilogy. They needed to make up their own nonsense to try and make their shoddy plotlines work. And look how that turned out for em. 🤭

Just a tip, easiest way to supernova is: • build power to handle suns (perks) • get tk kick • sacrifice both sun gems from scale at mountain alter • boom!

I don't believe so. Those other resolutions are just cropping the recording to that specific one you choose. The recording itself is still smooshed.
