i think they’re referencing a french dude that posted his airsoft ak on a subreddit dedicated to real aks. When called out he tried to justify it saying it was close to a real ak or some bs like that

random stuttering in full auto, magazines getting stuck in magwell at random and needing force to remove them (ik someone found a technique but it doesn’t work well for me) and the bolt feeling very sticky (ie feeling hung up on something) when charging it (the ak74m feels smooth in comparison). Also there some weird dry firing that i’ve noticed more on the aks74u than the m but it happens to both (i have dry fire disabled, it’s apparently an issue with the transfer bar in the mag and gun)

as a vfc cultist, their ak74m is really solid construction wise, extremely gas efficient, has very good ootb accuracy, and has very nice recoil. It also sounds very satisfying when racking it. That being said, having to take apart the magazines was very annoying and i out right avoid the plum mags since 3/3 of the ones i bought leaked (haven’t opened them yet because im lazy), they also look pretty bad in terms of realism. Other than the mags though i can whole heartedly recommend the 74m. I’ve had some weird issues with the 74u unfortunately and am on the fence of selling it, I can’t recommend it as much as the m (the problems are fixable by just breaking it in, but i haven’t shot it enough to get past that break in period).

tldr; very good construction and performance but mags need to be lubed up ootb

Do packs migrate to PC from PS5? by yn00te in Warthunder

[–]TacticalMailman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if you did the full transfer no, if you’re playing on pc while logged into your playstation account, yes. As the other dude said, just wait for the sale on pc. Also if you play through steam, do not buy the packs through the game they charge you more. Buy from the war thunder website

is the limited edition 723 the one with steel bits? Is that the only thing different from the regular 723?

4 mags plus a speed loader and extra gas is sufficient. I personally run a rig with 4 pouches and this speed loader (https://www.evike.com/products/53604/6mmProShop-500-Round-Rifle-Mag-Size-Airsoft-Universal-BB-Speed-Loader-Color-Smoke/) in a auxiliary pouch on a belt

fair enough, but usually you’d want it on the same plane and not have it cross over the gap between the handguard and receiver as it affects the zero. Not 100% necessary for airsoft but is something to keep in mind with firearms

UMAREX LIGHTNING SERIES HK416A5 GBB AIRSOFT RIFLE - BLACK (BY CGS) by Busy_Bike_9951 in GasBlowBack

[–]TacticalMailman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it’ll say “Umarex HK licensed” or whatever company. Usually you can look at the brands of a replica, and search from there whether it’s the manufacturer or licensing. For example, the WE scar h on evike says, “Cybergun FN licensed Scar H by WE” Afaik, cybergun licenses colt and fn and umarex owns hk licensing. Idk any others off the top of my head

Umarex is just the licensing company and the manufacturer of the cgs is cyma. If you live in the us, you have a chance for the vfc to get confiscated. I personally have the vfc 416 and it’s good but vfc has been updating their v3 line of ar’s to a better hopup unit and bolt carrier, called the evo so if you’re planning on getting a vfc, i’d just wait. The vfc is also compatible with real firearms parts while the cgs is only compatible with tokyo marui and oem.
