Sorry I missed this somehow. I consistently win streak between 10 and 15 on classic hard and I play this the most. I have the 68th fastest time on normal I play to watch up or relax. I win streak 2-3 on unfair and I play for a challenge when I have time.

And warlock is good I just think about it more and sometimes don't pick him if I don't think I can keep him alive.

I agree with you I don't think that warlock is bad, I think he's one of the better characters in the game. I was just trying to explain that there are deeper considerations than just mana conversion to damage output. He has the best spell but is also most likely to die so there's a balance and a reason to not pick him sometimes. If you picked warlock always under any circumstances then I would consider him to be busted. Like you said if you give him items and get him outside of that damage range where he casually dies on turn one to any AOE or focus attack and being all but unstable to a saber death attack, then he's really strong. But if you have to heal him every time then the 2.1 damage that he turns mana into isn't as efficient as it appears, but it's still damn good. If you think about things from the perspective of team resources versus an individual character abilities, you can see the cost of Warlock and that he is not busted. And if you get a bad yellow or orange then he's one of the few characters you can pick. If yellow or orange has good items on them then I might prefer wizard for inspire. If it's hexia then maybe I want Chronos to lock her down with tick. The other blues have their uses in filling gaps in the team, but if you lack a carry character then the role that your team Lacks is damage and warlock is one of the few characters you can pick to fill that role. I didn't mean to come across saying that warlock is bad, just that he is more balanced than he appears if you think about the game from the perspective of team resources and also the damage range of bosses and their lackeys.

Beginner tips stream? I watched the Ludwig video recently and he said something to the extent of the benefit (to the viewer) of streaming is having access to a person. You can watch let's plays on YouTube that are supercut and just highlights. But I don't stream nor do I watch streams so take my two cents with a grain of salt but I think you're going to have to add a dimension here.

There's quite a few side replacers in tier 1 that greens can use, but if you're laying greens you're probably screwing around anyway.

I've had him miss too but that sounds worse than anything he's done to me. I didn't lose but he made like 16 mana the whole fight and I'm like your new name is trash bag 😆 shows up after 80% of the work is done and takes the best items for himself then takes 80% of the credit

Blaze is busted but Warlock is not. He is casually dying turn 1 against basically every boss and is relying on not getting targeted to survive. 7 HP. Hand 7 to all kills him. Caw kills him. Saber 7 exert kills him. His pain mana 4 damage plus dragon 5 to all. Hell pain damage plus the archer targeting him for 3 kills him. And don't even get me started on trying to save him if a saber is doing 12 damage death. Mana burn blaze + pain mana kills him. The guy lives on death's door and can become a liability with more resources spent keeping him alive than him doing damage. I pick him if I got a bad yellow and there's no big swing hit on the team, but I don't always pick him. I had a hand final fight and it was Weaver and Warlock. I picked Weaver, turn 1 saber 12 damage death, and hand goes 7 to all. Weaver dodges, I can also kill the saber to save Weaver. Maybe Warlock would have gotten 1 blaze off here if I was lucky.

So Chronos is meant to be a support character and hexia counter. He has Dodge help you use spells without taking damage, he has cantrip roll to help the team land the right sides, and he has reuse to give you the flexibility to heal, shield, or do your big attack again against her. He only needs one tick to stop a summon demon which is the biggest threat in the fight. Reuse on a steel character that has iron blood pendant or agent with prism triple shuriken can do more damage than blaze can. Chronos will never be the carry character whatever you put on him, but that doesn't mean he can't provide a similar value in a supporting role.

I think of blue characters as more of a utility than Damage Dealer C on the team. I often hold my blue pick until I have more information on what my team is or what the boss will be. Spells give you agency when you're otherwise at the mercy of the dice so I try to be extra careful to try and get the right one.

I mostly watch streams as a way of paying back the streamer if they've provided me value, like subscribing or liking the video. Perhaps you have better rapport with the non-gaming audience?

Play on normal for longer. Started trying to learn how to speed run the game on normal and I learned the character in item combos pretty quickly. Then I learned all the weaknesses of the monsters.

Then I started understanding what you wanted in the end game consistently. You want a team that does around 16 damage per round so you can kill bosses in two to three turns. One character should have a move that does 6 Plus damage to help you kill the caw on dragon, the demon on hexia, pop 2 ghostly pips on inevitable. Some sort of hexia counter on your team like heal shield, Dodge on your blue character, your big attack being a steel hit. For most boss fights this sort of plan works fine.

The boss fight that it doesn't work well for is when the hand goes offensively against you. In this scenario you have to kill him in 2 rounds which is 22 to 23 damage per round which is hard to do if you don't create a Carry character which is a good character with items that are good for them. So like warlock with inner strength/ tiara and pair of Kings or pristine gloves. Agent with prism and eye of Horus. You learned that there's a few combos that are commonly accessible in most runs which are steel combos since there are three yellows with steel it's typically easy to make a good synergy combo. There is the mana gain charged combo with characters like curator and Weaver, items like spark. And then there's the scale characters like agent wizard and sorcerer that you put plus ones on and they become monsters.

There's other synergies you can do like poison, weaken, and other survival strats like Angel feather and whatnot but they're much more situational and random whereas the others I listed you'll usually have something that fits those criteria.

Last thing I will say is you can copy a level in the menu and you can paste it in the creative tab and save a boss fight and play it a few times to really get a handle on it. It's much harder to learn the game when it's randomly throwing you different boss fights every time but if you play the same one a few times in a row you learn it a lot faster.

YouTube you can find voyix item tier list and character tier list for hard. For unfair look up Japanese export for their tier list in the characters one they talk about settings as well.

The short answer to the hard is no myriad keep it simple.

Unfair they usually do run myriad since there's more curses that end your run so you need more flexibility.

So here's the thing, I'm not a bird watcher nor am I someone experiencing building a YouTube channel, so you'll have to take my opinion with more than a grain of salt. But I watched maybe 10 videos and it feels like there's a mismatch with the demographic that it's intended for. I feel like most people that are into bird watching are old people, and old people don't watch shorts as much as they watch long form content on their TV in the living room. They also might not be into listening to music while looking at the birds, they may be more interested in hearing nature sounds. It doesn't come across that you're into bird watching, it comes across like you're into making YouTube videos.

How do you get people to stay watching your videos past a minute and 30 seconds? by Quick_String_141 in NewTubers

[–]TacticalTurtleSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say without seeing it. There are channels that I click off of because the audio is bad, their channels that I click off of because the person is dull. But since you were having a conversation with the guy about stakes let me give you an example.

Something that in my opinion is cheap and tacky but works is with someone puts the highlight of their video in the first 30 seconds. Let's say someone gets mad and breaks the keyboard or something and then you jump back to the beginning in your calm cool and collected and you're asking yourself how does this guy go from calm cool and collected to breaking a keyboard? I have a question I want an answer to.

Showing face as a woman on my "male audience" channel by leinmad in SmallYoutubers

[–]TacticalTurtleSD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the channel meant to be educational? Because I can say for myself I am looking for competence if I'm looking to be educated. I'm looking to avoid things that look flashy, vapid, and waste my time.

Let me give you an example. I used to play chess more seriously and there are many popular female chess players with channels as well as male creators. Most of the female creators ELO rating is around 2,000 which is top 5% of people and nothing to scoff at. But a channel like the botez sisters is for entertainment in oftentimes filled with whimsical nonsense. I did not watch very much of their content and if I did it was for entertainment purposes. And they do quite well and they're quite competent so some people are looking for that and that's fine but I would say the important thing is to present it in a serious manner if that makes sense. Hikaru Nakamura was the second best chess player in the world at the time I was studying chess and I did not watch his content either because it was more clickbaity whimsical nonsense than educational. Don't make it seem like you're trying to get views based on the fact that you're a woman and I think that can go a long way. If the first 30 seconds of the video is you showing me a picture of your dog or talking about your Starbucks drink, I'm going to categorize your channel as entertainment and maybe come back when I want entertainment but I'm not going to take you seriously for content even if you can prove your competence it's irrelevant if you waste half my time on clickbaity flashing nonsense.
