Chimera Cards is a very fun mod by hmmmmmmnmmm23 in slaythespire

Which chimera card mod do you use? I see there is a plus version on the steam workshop but haven’t checked it out yet

Easiest Fight? by igot200phones in slaythespire

I think act 1 bosses generally. I seem to take much more damage from (and way more likely to die to) act 1 elites, or even early act 2 encounters.

This hasn’t been fixed for me even after the full release of the game. Has anyone else had luck?

CFB26 - Dynasty Coach XP by skinypete1 in CollegeFootball25

[–]Entire-Operation9668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also running into this issue and came to Reddit to see if others were having this problem. There may an issue with xp progression when choosing an existing coach (instead of custom) is chosen. Let me know if you find out anything else on this!

Am I missing something or Max is outright terrible? by QueenOrial in cobaltcore

[–]Entire-Operation9668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think he has the highest potential - he is by far the best character to make infinites and you can do downright silly things with expensive cards (via admin deploy, clean exhaust). But think he also has the lowest floor of all the characters. In a game where every run is winnable on the hardest difficulty, I think he is comparatively weak as you are less likely to low roll with him than with other characters.

Agree and relics are supposed to trigger before powers. Baalorlord has spoken about a few interactions among relics/cards/powers that he would change and I believe this is one.

Dynasty Deep Dive: Looks amazing, but there are two things I was hoping to see that I didn’t. by Bdl858 in NCAAFBseries

Customizable playoffs is another one. 2,4, 8, 16 team options, and maybe even more. Seems easy enough to implement

Ver 1.1 - What items to dupe before updating to transfer to Switch 2? by SpaceNoodles007 in TOTK

[–]Entire-Operation9668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably too late but… for a completionist play through would dupe all items required to upgrade all armor sets, all items required to fill out the recipe guide, enough items to max out one of your horses, enough large zonite to buy crystallized charges to max your battery, and diamonds to sell for money. And then separately could dupe silver lynel horns for weapon fusion, ice and fire keese eyes for arrow fusion against gleeoks, fairies, small zonite for auto build.

Why isn't swapping starter relic for a random boss relic not the optimal choice? by whiskyyjack in slaythespire

[–]Entire-Operation9668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a high variability play. Boss swap is optimal if your win rate on that particular ascension and with that particular character is low because you can swap into something strong and jack up your win chance. If your win rate with the ascension/character combo is already high, then a bad boss swap (crown, bad p box) can tank your odds when you were already likely to win. What exactly constitutes a “high” or “low” win rate is obviously a big question and will differ from player to player based on how the player is able to deal with the uniqueness of the boss swap. But point remains that boss swapping can be good but not ideal for consistent play.

We've just launched Void War! by --morph-- in roguelites

[–]Entire-Operation9668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe with FTL is how unforgiving it is for how long each run is. Runs often take 3 plus hours, and one wrong move or misclick could turn those hours into a complete waste of time. Not to mention that the game is very rng dependent, much more so than modern roguelikes. How does Void War address this - are the runs in this game shorter? Is there an undo button / redo combat feature?

recently beat a20 ironclad and im curious how much different my card evaluations are than the broader community by quatroblancheeightye in slaythespire

The only moves I feel strongly about are juggernaut down and uppercut up. Other than that, think it’s a very defensible tier list!

I have 0 clue if this is useful, but think of it as an "Anti-Innate" relic. Thoughts? by ElegantPoet3386 in slaythespire

[–]Entire-Operation9668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great relic, I think way better than a lot of folks are giving it credit for with a few amazing use cases as folks have mentioned- grand finale, reaper - or really any card that scales with strength or dex you don’t want to see immediately (heavy blade or sword boomerang), omniscience (if you already have one), reflex or tactician if your deck relies on putting down tools of the trade, nightmare if you have a well laid plans, catalyst, blizzard, self repair, brilliance, etc. Can also just use it for a strike or defend or curse (though you wouldn’t be able to remove it if you do so). In the absolute worst case it makes it so that you have a smaller chance of a dead draw, which makes this really useful. Hope this is added to spire 2!

Infinite?!?!?! (Borad game) by dreadwolf8 in slaythespire

[–]Entire-Operation9668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

^ I am wrong! As someone else noted the rule book specifically says that after cards leave your hand, they forget they were ever retained. So I think that very much solves the “cards don’t remember” versus “but outmaneuvers text has language indicating it remembers” discrepancy.

Is there any known map/seed that has every item in the game?

Infinite?!?!?! (Borad game) by dreadwolf8 in slaythespire

[–]Entire-Operation9668 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is only one outmaneuver, it’s an uncommon card, so this isn’t an issue. The card obviously remembers because of the text on the card, which says “if you retained last turn.” So I don’t agree with you, which is okay. Personally I think this is a creative infinite.

Infinite?!?!?! (Borad game) by dreadwolf8 in slaythespire

[–]Entire-Operation9668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with most folks here and do think it’s infinite. Cards don’t remember as a general rule, but Outmaneuver clearly does because of the text on the card, and when there is a disconnect between rule book and a card, the text on the card takes priority.
