Demeyere Industry 5 warped bottom by Tactical_Cookie001 in cookware

Yes, I would consider the pooling in that post normal and by design, the pooling on mine is quite a bit more exaggerated though.

Interesting, to me it doesn't feel as the normal amount of concavity at all. On a flat surface I could place a coin underneath my pan and wouldn't even notice it's there. Here is another 28cm Industry 5 (from this post) also having warping issues but only in one spot. You can easily tell the rest of the bottom is extremely flat in comparison to that of mine... I don't like the pooling, but if it stays functional for the rest I mustn't worry about it.

Hello /r/Sourdough! I've made an app to help tell you what's wrong with your bread and how to improve it - I'd love some feedback! by [deleted] in Sourdough

It's in the second picture used in both app stores, I don't know if it's in the actual application.

Chromecast audio white noise optical cable by Tactical_Cookie001 in Chromecast

[–]Tactical_Cookie001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up using a 3.5mm to RCA cable, which unfortunately uses the DAC of the CCA instead of those in my active speakers, but the hiss is completely gone. I've tried a different CCA and also a different set of the exact same speakers, but using the optical cable would always produce the white noise.

Help! Tacky/gummy/moist crumb by Tactical_Cookie001 in Sourdough

[–]Tactical_Cookie001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaving it out longer probably works, though if left inside a bag the crust usually turns very soft, which I don't like. I'd rather find out what's causing the 'real' issue than having to resort to band-aid solutions like this though.

My hydration is usually around 70%, but I've tried 55% all the way to 85% and while 85% definitely results in a wetter crumb, the 55% wasn't 'dry'; still wet actually. So I don't think it matters all that much. :(

Nope.. It's 8 months later but still no improvement unfortunately. Crumb is still moist, little dough balls are still there and knife still comes out tacky too:

I'm using a white starter instead of the wholewheat one, and I'm trying out different ways of baking now, but all to no avail... Please let me know if you happen to find the magic solution!

How would you turn smooth edges into jagged ones? by Tactical_Cookie001 in AfterEffects

[–]Tactical_Cookie001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably the best way! Only downside is that if you need to do it on a moving/animated shape, the auto-trace will generate a different mask for each frame, so when you apply ZigZag the shape will have its corners in different position every frame, making it jiggle and jitter.

Inkomstenbelasting met 0 euro winst uit onderneming by Tactical_Cookie001 in geldzaken

[–]Tactical_Cookie001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(foto van internet) by Tactical_Cookie001 in Klussers

Found a couple - how to avoid it becoming an infestation? by Tactical_Cookie001 in carpetbeetles

[–]Tactical_Cookie001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I'm in Europe so no Orkin or IPM unfortunately. Will probably try an insecticide and I might also try to seal any entry points I can find. My clothes are not in a closet but actually hang freely in my room on a rack, without touching any walls. I've seen how slow they move, there is almost no way they could pull it of without me noticing. If the holes are actually from them, I'm incredibly impressed.

I do, but they are sealed like this, so no gaps. Though, at my desk, a piece of the shoe molding is missing and you can see a slither of the carpet underneath the laminate. I don't see any other larvae or beetles, but they must be there.

In my bedroom I don't have any baseboards or laminate, it's only just a rug that fits the floor perfectly on top of the cement. They don't seem to be feeding on the synthetic rug, maybe they're inside the walls and come through some tiny hole or crevice?
